I went to a club (Queen City Coopers ) and we talked about an OHIO get together with the (Dayton club, the Columbus club (group) and a club in Toledo, if there is one. One idea was to have a poker run on a route easily marked so it would be 'fun'. Each club would meet up at a final common destination point and determine who the winners was. AND THEN, the winners would then determine the winner. Just an idea that could be fun over a week-end. The event would be open to anyone who wants to come. What do you think An Ohio poker run????

They're legal. It's the non CANBUS LED's that should be illegal.

My MINI is in the garage. My office is in my house, and I had no reason to go anywhere today. Just as well, the weather sucks.
I need to do some research on diverters/BOVs. That was an item a lot of Audi enthusiasts replaced, because the factory diverters were cheap, mostly plastic parts that leaked pressure. I have my suspicions about the one on my R56.

Saved it from a fiery death... at 2:30 AM. Lipo battery decided it wanted to self destruct and tried to take the house with it...
Right above on the “wood” shelf was all my drills and their batteries, then above that was the oil, grease etc... so could have been a real “barn burner”.. lucky and overall given the situation not a huge amount of damage.... except maybe to my lungs.

Holy s***

Oh man that could have been very bad! I so don't trust batteries there have been so many bad fires and plane crashes due to them. Glad the GP is ok.........oh and you too
-
Yea it was pretty crazy... few more minutes and the fire would have gotten out of control. Still smells like burned plastic..

Regarding the doc - good point. Will check to see if anything I need to do.. more about the fact it was plastic and lipo battery... sure that’s not good for you.

Wow. Did you happen to be in the garage when it happened? I probably wouldn't know what happened until it was too late.

What was the battery for? And was it being charged?

-
Its was a headlamp like you wear when mountain biking at night or working at night and need your hands free. I was also charging, which ultimately means the failsafe for over charging did not work.
