    Checked the web thing for mine's status and found out it's now on it's ocean cruise across the pond to join us here in The Colonies! Hope it goes easy on the buffets, don't need it arriving with a weight problem. :fingerscrossed:

    Since I had the day off I decided to do a quick oil change. Funny thing, as I get older the oil changes get slower :confused:

    Good Morning peeps ... this morning I was cut off by a beater 2.0 A4 Audi ...GRRRRRR .... that makes Mini Mad .... so I put my foot into it and caught up to Beater and boxed him in .... I didn't let up on him until he pulled a weiner move of coming down on me .... But Mini Manny has good "git out of the way" reaction. Moral to the story - I did get to work 1/2 hr early !!:D

    Have a fab Mini day !

    Awesome MINI Loaner Car

    I took my MINI in for service and got a MINI Cooper S Roadster...loaded! Had a BLAST driving it around (with the top down in 40-degree weather!).

    Yesterday was my MINIs first birthday...... Well, to me he's only one. I bought him one year ago yesterday.
    I like to think he's started his life over with a good owner. He looks 10x better now than when I first bought him. :Thumbsup:

    Mini on snows = embarrassed SUV's today. Not driving at ALL fast or crazy, just driving AROUND them as they played a little sit-and-spin.

    In bank lobby:
    "Are all Minis 4 wheel drive?"
    "No, only the new big ones. Mine's one of the early little fast ones"
    "Then how are you DOING that?!?"
    <smile> "Tires... and a little skill..."
    "And my husband made me drive that huge... THING..."
    <smile> "Want to come to a Mini Cooper winter driving school on Feb 10?"

    Installed a new pair of OEM gas lifts for the bonnet. Now it stays open with the driving lights installed like it used to. I guess 6.5 years is pretty good life outta the original set.

    Also got a "personal" note from the local Fiat stealership, telling me how they can give me GREAT trade-in value for my old 2006 MINI for a NEW 2013 FIAT!!!!!

    For that, I just might have to go wait out in front of there on the street, and smoke every Fiat that leaves the lot for a test drive. That would be FUN

    Today I went to the car wash at lunch and cleaned and dried my car so I could go home an put it in the garage for this weekends snow and salt.

    I am getting tired of winter now, BRING ON SPRING ALREADY!
