Well I did nothing with the MINIs today. I planned on ordering the harness bar for the Helmet, but the Indian needed one more part. I road it this weekend to a open house at the Indian dealer. The generator is putting out some where between 12 and 15 volts. Thats a wee to much for a 6v system. The voltage regulator is a rear part so they want a lot for it. Oh well just another day!

Good luck with that plan. I have lost count of the number of house-moms and dummass dads I've chewed out in parking lots for driving their children around in a minivan with steel belts showing through their miss-aligned and under-inflated tires. Most of them are embarrassed , but some of them have the nerve to tell me to mind my own business.
Nanny state car laws aren't written for you and me, they are written for the "masses" who fill their garages with Walmart crap to the point that they have to park their 30-thousand dollar cars on the street. And, they are fine with that. After all, it is just a car, right? Nothing important.

I would also tell you to mind your own business with a few F U included. Stay out of other lives, what gives you the right to think you can criticize others?

@Goldsmithy Good to hear you feel up to the drive! I hope you have a great road trip.

No, it's my actual boss' car. Well he's my bosses boss and a good friend. I saved them a grand in labor
-
Oh ok. Wifey still think she's the boss though. Been in that situation a lot though for neighbors and friends. Especially when the wife is like, "I told so and so that you will change so and so's clutch". Good thing I like doing that stuff, and no one bothers me in the garage. Got my 50" on the wall in there and my fridge. Lol

What intake is that?
-
It's a K&N Orion.

Now I have to ask about the mounting situation. That's a bit different than how K&N's website shows the installation.

Added a little clear to the paint chips on the hatch. Let's just say they're as good as they're gonna get. For some reason the touch up paint, which is OE paint, is lighter than the existing paint so the spots stay visible. BUT, they're sealed now and that's all that matters. Tonight I replace the black out belt line stuff.

I get that and I was the same way. I didn't really think about buying it until I got a car that requires synthetic. When I first bought it, it was from a "dealer" and it was just at some dudes house so that made me more skeptical. I ended up getting my own membership for $20 a year and get a way better price per qt. than buying from a dealer by just ordering online from Amsoil themselves. I also send my Dad a couple jugs of oil for his fishing boat every year. To him that stuff is liquid gold
Gotta keep the ol' man happy. All that said, recently I've been thinking of switching to Motul since my mechanic recommends it and he's been dealing with BM'rs forever and I think it's cheaper, not that that's a driving force on any oil I buy. Good quality and reputation is all I'm after.
-
Is Motul a boutique oil? The only reason I went "high end" on the oil is the Prince engine. Also, I'd love to send you a sample for testing! PM me an address and cost and I'll send you a sample in a short while. And I wasn't pushing Amsoil, just asking why someone would say Amsoil isn't full synthetic when it is, unless I'm wrong of course.

Looks like one of those big ol' M7 scoops. I had the same scoop on my '07 MCS w/AEM intake.
-
Thank you sir -

Correct - I think it is. Need to take it off and polish it as the carbon is a bit "faded".. and you already turned me on the AEM intake. I need to go ahead and pull the trigger and get it here.
Now back to working on the site.
