She's still cleaner than that dirty old GP1 we saw rolling thru Fontana.

That GP owner cannot wash his MINI. He is mostly in a walker or in a wheelchair, due to car wreck injuries. He can drive, and has been to the Dragon ever since its inception. He just can no longer stand long enough to wash his car.

There's drive thru car washes. A life long buddy of mine's Dad is paralyzed from the waist down due to a bad wreck and still washes his hot rod (it's an old Cuda, he needs to let it rot and I told him that :D) and the wifes DD while sitting in a wheel chair. That said, the MINI community is friendly enough that several of us would gladly wash it for him, I'd even give it a good polish. Tell him to swing by Dave's cabin next year and we'll (or just me) get his GP looking like it should. I'll even lend him Bitsy's fine ass as a loaner while the GP get's cleaned.

I wondered what was up with that GP. If I had know I would have washed it for him. Us mini people should stick together.

His cabin is right across from the entrance to vendor's row. If you were so interested, I'm sure you would have seen the car in his driveway and him sitting on the front porch and given him some crap about his dirty car.

I wasn't interested in cleaning his car for him prior to you telling me he's unable to clean it himself. We watched him drive by Dave's cabin a couple times and figured he just neglected his car. Since yall are such good friends and you know he can't clean his car I'm surprised you haven't helped him out.....

Found a fun back road OTW into work this AM. It's about 25 minutes out of my way but it's worth it to hit some curves :D and burn a Tundra that thought he could hang. After a few corners he stopped trying

I use mine like that for a P/S reservoir.

Regardless, I hope that pic is a drag car...
Otherwise they are just cooking whatever fluid is in there, being right next to the exhaust housing.

Yesterday after the In-Law's left, I gave her a bath and stuck the roof rack back on since I'll be hauling some sort of mystery back to GA from my Dad's house in Wisconsin next month.

I started re-doing my gauge mountings. The gauges never stayed in the pods after a little driving, so I am changing things up a little. Then on to tackle the emergency brake handle. At least it will keep me off the streets. :) :)

@cristo congrats in the new JCW, pictures please!

Yesterday I drove the R53 about an hour down into Mississippi. Lots of the bridges were being worked in, I think they were trying to rip my suspension off my car. By the time I got there the right rear molding was coming off. I took it off and through it in the boot. The car has a very bad hesitation and it just got worse on the drive. Finally I got a check engine light. It is running too lean. I need to change the fuel filter, I hope that fixes it. I also have to fix the oil leak. The AC compressor is very loud so I am sure it’s about to go. And it needs new tires.
I have to get over worrying about driving the Helmet I just don’t want it baking in the hot summer sun.
So it may be time to part with mr R53. But it’s an R53 and I really love that car

I was thinking of getting a mask the other day while spray painting my roof rack bars... Thanks for the reminder!
New parts are always awesome, but what's a one ball mod?
