Most liked posts in thread: What did you do with your MINI today?

It's an all season that is said [by Tire Rack] to run like a summer tire [really grippy]. BFG even gave a 35k warranty for this tire. I bought a set of 205-50-15s, and, so far, the sidewalls are VERY stiff, so later today I'll do some driving to break them in a bit or at least see if I'm going to like them. Can't wait for warmer days, though!

 

I'm with your wife on this one. I'd be thinking about setting off a bug bomb in there before I drove it again. Hate spiders!

 

Yeah, I never really cared for those VW Beetles, either.

 

When I was a younger lad, my car stereo system had to sound like a rock concert in a car. No that I am an old fart and listen to NPR in the car, it's not that big a deal. I still have a killer Home Theater system in the Man Cave, but I can't watch movies or concert videos in the MINI. In the car, if I even have the radio on, it's NPR, or something similar (I hate radio commercials).

I coded out the bulb check in my R56 with the Carly for BMW app, but can't shut off the check for brake or front running lights. The tail lights and running lights up front flash after start up. Will try to redo the coding one of these days.

 

Especially when it's personal...

 

Just got home and popped my hood to let it open a bit to let her cool down (my normal gettin home routine) and noticed a little hiss noise. My damn coolant expansion tank has a crack in it... I thought they fixed that after the first gen. F'n BM'r plastic. The leak is at that middle vertical seam towards the bottom with the trail of dry coolant just below it flowing down the seam. Picking up a new one from Wayland tomorrow and swapping them out after work.

 

Have you ever bought from AliExpress? I've wanted to before a while back but had to order like 200 of something to place an order.

Anyway, the R50's ready to go to MOTD, on Tuesday. I'm taking a lazy day tomorrow and just mowing and resting up for the drive down.

I believe he's speaking on the wrap colors on that rendering. I'm pretty sure I've seen something very similar on another MINI.
