Received a package containing some awesome RMW items (cam/450cc injectors); then got my car stuck in my driveway. :frown2: Summer tires + snow/ice + driveway with a hill + trees does not make for an ideal situation:mad5:

:cornut: Drove my Grandson to the Phone Store to get his new LOADED with features phone. He brought it out and it drove us home, did our taxes on the way, made us a latte, and got him on the hiring list of several companies. WOW! You know, one of these days I guess that I'll be forced to get a cell phone. My son says that he's doing his best to drag me into the 21st century.:lol::lol:

Ordered a new Steering Wheel, OMP Super Quadro
The old Sparco one in the MINI now has 2 years of hand grease in the Alcantara and it's lost it nape and grip.-

It's spring break and my kid had an event to go to so I had just dropped her off and was driving home when my cell phone rang. I answered, and it was somebody from MINI Canada asking for a minute or two to chat. I asked for a second so I could pull over. I parked on the side of the road and the nice lady just wanted to confirm my address so they could mail me a pair of tickets to the Vancouver International Auto Show to see the new Paceman.

Took my Clubman and my Son out for a long drive with the sun roof open 55 degree. It was an awesome drive as we found some great back road and found the new FSD shock and bushings were the perfect upgrade.
Handled very nice and composed! Chatting with my Son about road rules and safety and avoid the pot holes. Unfortunately, we hit one... loud clank.-

Texas Mile aftermath / recap
Removed my fire extinguisher / mount after getting home from the Texas Mile late last night.
Covered just over 2300 miles round trip (to Beeville, TX and back, near Corpus Christi). Drove on posted-75 TX two-lane highways, where the prevailing speed seems to be 80+, even for loaded pickups. Saw brahma bulls, oil derricks, pear cactus, bluebells. Visited the Riverwalk in San Antonio, ate goat and drank Patron.
Lots of fast cars at the Mile, including the record-holding Ford GT that set a *new* record this year, 267 in the standing mile. Couple dozen Z06's, ZR1's, and a whole fleet of CTS-V Cadillacs. 220+ mph motorcycles also.
Not a surprise to be the only MINI there, and was very pleased with my best run of 135.9. We took our Z06 also, managed a 171.4 driving it.

I would just like to wish all the M/A Peeps a very happy healthy holiday weekend. May all your Bonnets shine and your windscreens be bugless. :cornut:

Received these "maintenance items" for a relaxing Saturday with the R53. Yep, that's what they are, "maintenance items". Cars need to be maintained in order to run properly.
Konis / JCW springs / camberplates / rear rotors / hatch struts / ebrake cables / RE-11A's / lower engine mount / Aquapel (great stuff!)...
