Speaking of car shows, I've been asked to attend and have thought about entering a few local car shows. What special do I need to do to my car to show it? Do I need to clean the inner side of my wheels and the engine and stuff?

Maybe, but I had 3 failures with 3 differnt sets. Many other people have reported the same. They may have fixed the issue by now but I have moved on to better brakes and pads.

I haven't done anything with the mini's, to much work. I drove the helmet to work all week. It is covered with sap from one of the trees. I was going to wash it off a day ago but now its raining. I guess I don't need to wash it now.
The R53 is sitting in the garage waiting for me to get new tires.

    Hi Dave,
    What pads are you using?

I've tried to get EBC Redstuff locally where I am, but have been unable to. So I've just been using stock MINI pads. I think they are great except for how dirty they make my wheels. For normal slightly spirited street use in an area where we sometimes get snow, is wet most of the time, but summers can get hot and for a car that does a lot of mileage, what pads would you recommended?

Nice winter shoes. What kind of rubber soles do they have? I'll wait another month & a half before Skooby gets the new winter shoes installed.

Wow 80HP and 1150 that power to weight ratio is close to a modern mini. but over 1000lb lighter. Those cars must be a blast. I wish I had bought the last one I looked at. What awesome little cars!
