Something on the wheel jams up against the rear brake caliper. It appears that wheel is more designed for drum brakes.

Man, I wish you would move to Texas... Houston, to be exact. Give the middle finger salute to "Bubba" in his F250 Super-Duty with 36-inch tires and exhaust stacks, at rush hour on Loop 610 South. I'll send a get-well card to the ECU, or flowers to the funeral home. o_O

From everything I've read, they expect them to all be sold before they start production. IIRC they only made 2000 of the other GP models, but are building 3000 of the GP3. If what I've read is correct and they're going to make some of the in F54 trim that might account for the extra cars. Wish I could afford one of the F54 models.

Got rearended on my way home from work last night. It was snowing pretty hard and I was coming to a stop behind a line of traffic. The lady in an Audi A7 hit some ice and just bumped into my car's rear. Bumper to bumper, the plastic bumper cover is cracked, but probably no other damage. I took note that she didn't have winter tires on her car. They were "high performance" all season tires. I am not sure if her insurance is going to cover the accident. I will get the bumper fixed and check the wheel alignment. The A7 has a broken front air dam.

Winter tires are mandatory. If they are caught driving with the wrong equipment, the insurance company here can deny insurance. I suspect, they may not fix her car, but will fix the damage on my car.

Wow!!! Yes by all means cool down before heading over. I bet the dealer refuses to do the repair again under warranty since the car has been sold to another.

I know how the new GP will get that 300 HP to the ground, it will use electronic traction control and so on, but how will Dave get 400+ HP to the ground in an R53 designed for 170?

I would be furious!! If you can I would see if you could get some pictures of the damage then the next call would be a lawyer. I knew they were jerking you around. If they had the head off they should checked the motor out before doing the head job. The shop I worked for if we had done the head and the costumer brought the car back like you did the owner of the shop would have eaten the repairs.

I am furious-I paid a ton of money for a job that failed. I do have pictures of the head/broken valve and looking at the cylinders as they stand now. The new owner sent them. I'm going to give the dealer a chance to make it right and reimburse me-I don't have high hopes since they lied in the first place. If nothing then to MINI HQ and a lawyer. I'm not wealthy and this whole debacle has really hurt me financially.
