A long time ago, back in High School when I deliver pizza for Dominos I had one of these in my car for seeing house numbers at night.

Good luck on the sale. Sad, but if you feel it is the right thing to do.

Sounds like your dealer is taking good care of you. Guess they never heard of expedited shipping. I bet your wife is missing her baby.

Got in my car to drive to work this morning. Got about 6 blocks when I noticed my battery light had come on. Couldn't be. There was lots of juice to start the car.
Noticed the wipers were kind of slow....uh oh. I might be running on battery only. Also noticed the squeeling from what I thought was the tensioner pulley, starting to wear, was gone. Maybe it's the alternator.

Went about 4 miles and was at the top of the bridge when my ABS and Traction control lights came on. Not good....started to make my way to the right curb lane. But the car seemed to be driving fine still.

Got another 2 or miles or so off the bridge and my dash warning lights were blinking like a Christmas tree.

Got another mile or so and I lost power steering. Still another mile or 2 to my friend's place. I wasn't going to leave the car on the highway.

Made it to my friend's place, so I parked it there and took the bus to work.

Will have to tow it somewhere to get fixed later.

Drove the Countryman (F60) to work today. On a long windy uphill road, I was surprised how quick the car really is. Really very little drama in going uphill very quickly and "sporty", but reasonably safe speeds.
Got to my office parking lot and realized how difficult it is trying get it to fit in a small car parking space and not be in danger of getting dinged or putting a dent in the car next to you. I ended up parking it in a big(ger) car spot.
