Used it to deliver a birthday cake to Mount Vernon and then to chauffeur the birthday boy back home after the party. Took a different route on the way back and ended up on a section of chip sealed road and then a gravel road. Needless to say, we pretended to be on a rally stage and there was a little e-brake action thrown in for good measure.

I painted my calipers red.
So depending on Dave Os. ruling I either improved my braking (everything is better in red) or made it worst (everything is faster with red).-

Drove it to a car show here in Columbus. Met up with other Mid-Ohio folks. Walked around looked at cars. Drove home the really long way.

Got lots-O-help from CHKMINI today to sand and paint a large scrape on my front spoiler. A little leftover from the Dragon.
Looks like new again.Attached Files:

MrJim, use a little Aquapel on those side windows and that water will bead up and blow off - dramatically increases safety.. Seriously, that's the first thing I do when I get a new car, and I've even done it to rental cars. RainX works in a pinch, since those windows don't get the wiper friction that causes RainX to haze. Heck, car wax can work for a while, but that Aquapel is wonderful stuff. Different chemistry than RainX and other silicone-based products. Lasts nearly forever on side windows, and a LONG time on windshields.

Got my Ireland Engineering fixed camber plates in along with valve cover gasket, new idler pulley, and belt tensioner assembly. Thanks to Nick (MRNTD) for doing all this with minor help from me. It's hard to find people who are willing to help and expect nothing in return. Little did he know he would be receiving some Schuler's donuts and beer.
Thanks again for doing this for me Nick.-

Had a good double MINI day!
Got up early for the annual MINI5280 officers and board meeting, good breakfast meeting, food was good, meeting met requirements for the legal folks and IRS.
Then I took Scooter over to Ferney's for the open house BBQ. Good turnout, great food, beer was found, then the rain came.
A very nice way to spend the day.

Well, I took an out-a-town buddy of mine to lunch at a fine local pub in the MINI.
Then afterwards, we took a short, spirited spin in the Classic Mini.
What a great afternoon! :beer-

Well yesterday, I spent a good portion of the 90+ degree day motoring Denver delivering MITM event posters.
Today I went to the local Cars&Coffee Lafayette, CO. It was delightful as always.
Full ALBUM is here:
Enjoyed this one so much it became my FB cover photo. Buick 48 Custom. 502 Chevy Crate Engine, tube frame updates to the original chassis.
After I came home, Scooter was in the Red Oak tree's shade, so did a fine mist wash with water and a mix of Hydro and Hydro Seal 50/50.Looks like new again!

Spent the day finishing up the installation of the turbo and down pipe on Silverback.
Ran into a coolant leak along the way and several replacement coolant lines later I finally found the culprit: Loose plug on the backside of the cartridge. It was not torqued down and I neglected to check it prior to install. Feels like I have installed this setup 3 times now. Hopefully this is the last.
Rest of the day was spent getting the car out of service mode and all back together.
Just got back from taking a spin around the corn fields and it seems to be quite the peppy little turbo. Will take it for another spin Friday to make sure all is well.
This has been a long project and required help from fellow MoM'ers to get it all figured out. I definitely owe them donuts. Probably beer as well.-
