Changed to summer tires/wheels and adjusted rear sway bar and front shock settings for the funner-to-motor months ahead.
Summer wheel/tire change part 1 for me today.. The clubman is getting new tires mounted this week and will swap to them in the next couple weeks. We sometimes get a late season snow dump in Chicagoland so I usually hold off on the daily driver till mid-month.
I need to hit the lottery. Today I was looking up some new brake kit (JCW GP2 )front and rear for 4grand. Then some new tires (my have about 500 miles) another 1k. Being retired I think I have to much time on my hands and not enough money. Oh well.
That's the only thing bad about having a Mini. They have a habit of needing upgrades even if they don't, or is that me?
Needed a break from cleaning up after the last two weekend storms so I picked up my oldest grandson from vocational school and went for a short drive.
New Yokohama tires for the Cooper Clubman. I was going to wait another week to mount them, but I was impatient, and I have a road-trip to Purdue next week and thought these would be better than on the snow tires.
Spring cleaning time. I bought a carpet cleaner, instead of renting one this year. Got it on sale even.
I took the front & rear panels off my portable garage I store Checkers in to have the zippers replaced. Who would have through they would be $120 each and there are 4 of them.
Put the doors back on the portable garage today. What a job. It took me like 2 to3 hours each. You need at least 2 bodies an 3 hands. But I got it done. Getting old is a b ----h .
Well I went an ordered some new tries today. I've got a car show in May and thought it like better with a more of a track tire on it. I ordered the Falken azenis RT660 225x45x17. They look pretty nice. (nice tread pattern).
