Tell them to look into the companies that produce most of the cars built in England. I think they find they are owned by companies out side of England like Mini. I've been invited to ALL BRITISH CAR SHOWS of years. Tell them to Google Jaguar, Rolls Royce and Aston Martin and see who has control of the company.
Went to retiree breakfast and a drive as it is great day with the sun shining, a slight breeze and the trees coming into full foliage.
I love it then a plan comes together. I have 10 day s before my next car show and I have some chrome work and power coating being done. It won't be ready till next week like Tuesday or Wednesday. The chrome work I can wait on but it would look better with it, but the power coating is the CAI that I can't do with out. what's new this happens to me all the time.
At least it appears you will have powder coating back with four or five days before the show, not a perfect situation by any means but it could be a lot worse.
Maybe maybe they told me 3 to 5 days from 11th. That me give me a little room. The car needs to be at the detailers on the 19th and at the show on the 20th. So that makes it a little short on time. With a bet of luck I should make it.
The chrome was going to be the problem child and you now have it and the powder coating is scheduled to be delivered in the nick of time. Not a perfect scenario but better than the no way in hell can we get your stuff by the needed date.
A couple days ago I put new black and white union jack mirror caps on my wife's mini. I also replaced one of her Highgate side markers.
I guess all my begging worked they called me later yesterday to tell me the power coating was ready. 2 days early. Now I have a week to get ready.
For sure MCS02. I hope they come out better than they usually do. I am not very good at take picture.
I guess as you get older you loose confidents. I was thinking to put checkers back together it would take 3 or 4 hours, but it took 1 1/2. not bad for an old guy. He's ready to go to the detailers for a ceramic wash and don't ask me what that is.
Pulled off my MINI Madness Cold air intake filter, washed and re-oiled and reinstalled. Discovered my passenger side top engine mount is leaking again. Will get another one installed at my next oil change .
The guy that told me, 15 years ago, that the R53 MINIs weren't British, apparently now owns one himself. I guess people do change as they grown up.
I must be a little different than him. When I drive my Mini I go back to being a kid or it least I feel like one.
Spent yesterday replacing the door speakers in GIR. I did some testing while I was in there. But it sounds pretty good if I say so myself. I need to do a little modding to the door panels and see if I can figure out how to get the AXXCESS control to work with the steering wheel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
