Good luck with your Smog test and remember it’s only money which easy for me say because it wasn’t mine.
That is insanity! I put two wide band O2 sensors on my Lotus they are a couple of inches apart. They read exactly the same. Sorry you had to go through that. good luck with the test!
I'm back. Pass smog. I am not sure what they were looking for but they took a flash lite under the bonnet to inspect engine compart then on the rack for the under side inspection then on the smog machine. What a pain in the a// to deal with. I think he tried to be a Proctologist.
Where's Waldo? Waldo Ohio that is.... Took my sweetie on a ride out to Waldo for lunch at the G&R Tavern today.... Had their famous fried bologna sandwich with a side of deep fried mushrooms and a root beer.... A glorious day to be alive, spending time with my wife, driving on the back roads in the MINI.... Doesn't get much better than this... Quote Reply
You know what's funny. With the new header it seem to have more power. The one I had removed was a race header that should have had better flow. I'm getting a little more boost also.
Pre-work oil change morning on my 2002 Cooper. Getting stuff ready for MINIs on the Mack in a few weeks. The hardest part was getting the stupid filter canister started without cross-threading.
Since it's been 8 years since I sold my Mini I had forgotten what fun that oil filter housing could be. The one on Skooby the R55 clubster is a piece of cake in comparison. Nice to do a pre-flight check before going on a trip.
Day tripping somewhere in Ohio... Today, my wife and I decided to take a MINI road trip for a back road 2 hr drive to Wooster Ohio......... For lunch Departed @ 11:00am Arrived @ 1:05pm Had lunch at the Broken Rocks Cafe & Bakery She had the wild mushroom and gorgonzola pizza... I had the Jambalaya and fresh squeezed lemonade... A wonderful day to be out driving the curvy roads of Wayne and Holmes county... Interestingly, I'm only usine 13.7 HP @ 2,700 ripins to cruise at 65MPH....
Washed Checkers next I'll use a product called Hydro Boost. It's suppose to help the ceramic coating.
It worked great and you can't beat it for $100.00. It's small and light weight. I was going to start polishing but it's to hot. The weather man said it should be 108 today. I'll start tomorrow morning early.
Yesterday my wife and I took a trip out to Granville, OHio, and had lunch at the Granville Inn... We sat outside on the porch... It was quite nice, mid 70's @ 40% humidity... She had the falafel salad... I had the prime rib sandwich... It was a nice summer day to be out in Ohio...
I'm thinking about trying a little something different. I order some new intercooler boots and airmass hose in black. I will add a little more chrome like all the screw clamps and intercooler boot brackets. I think with the black background the chrome should stand out. What do you think?
Annual inspection passed! Woo! I've had an intermittent CEL popping up for a while (I think I had a bad tank of gas), so I was very happy that it stayed away long enough for me to get good data in the CPU and pass.
Chicago MINI Motoring Club drive.. Nice weather for a drive down Sheridan Road.. one of Chicagolands nicest roads. We had about a dozen MINIs out for a slow drive. Here is a link to more photos https://www.flickr.com/photos/ernestovumbles/albums/72177720310121918
