Saturday was the Chicago MINI Motoring Club annual drive thru a series of Cul de sacs and a stop at a famous local hotdog spot. We had about 30 MINIs driving thru the neighborhoods. Here is a link to more pictures/video https://www.flickr.com/photos/ernestovumbles/albums/72177720311761865
I'm getting lazy. I pickup Checkers from the detailers today for the car show on Sunday. I'll try and take some pictures. It's an all British car and bike show with a lot of classic minis.
I just pickup my car and it looks incredible. I asked for a wash and clean the engine. They did but they also detailed the interior. Here's a list of what they did. Hand Wash & dry Clay bar Vacuum Condition & clean all leather surfaces Clean & degrease wheels & wheel wells Clean engine bay degrease & dress What a great job.
If I do not it won't be because the car wasn't ready. I have had my car detailed several times by me and other detailers, but it has never looked as good as now. I don't have a clue how they get every neck and cranny so clean. I'll try to get someone to take some pictures with a better camera than mine.
Here's a pit I took at the show This pic doesn't do it Justus' As far as how I did. We left early the wife was not feeling good so I'll find out later. I had a lot of attention. When you have somethings that no one have seen or have it draws attention.
I called a friend of mine who was at the show and he said I got first place in my class. So that's three in a round.
Absolutely beautiful and when you know what a clean R53 drivers engine compartment looks like Checkers is really amazing.
Thanks again. The detailer I use is amazing. They even detailed the caps on the AC freon lines. It's always nice when things turn out the way you like.
I'm bragging a little but Checkers record at car shows. Over the years. 1 Best in show (at Mini Mania only Minis) 8 first places 1 third place I'm running out of ideas to keep things fresh.
