Yeah needless to say she is running a little better now. How ever now I am concerned that it may be running a little lean as the tune was done with this leak :blush2::frown2:
Nice! Look out for speed bumps & roadkill... If you are going to have the suspenders off I'd recommend some IE camber plates.
Nice.... NM springs? I had Chad install the same rear camber links..... I like that they have grease zerks. +1 on what Chuck said.... IE fixed camber plates..... Do it, I'm so glad I did mine....
Finally had the time to wash the car since getting back from MOTD. Wore me out. I think I will have to do a second wash again tomorrow.
Installed my new Billy Club shift knob and realized that I didn't get the set screw hole lined up in the front where I wanted it. Washed it and started to clay bar it when my allergies kicked in and I started to sneeze non-stop. So now it is sitting in the garage partially clayed and water spotted.
Just stick the car in hot water for a few minutes and you should be able to twist the knob. :biggrin5: If if was as tight as you told me it was, does it need the set screw? Jim
Led our club on a 110 mile drive in the heart of North Carolina to celebrate the Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club's 7th anniversary since it was founded. Lots of great twisty action and it ended with ice cream at a local dairy farm.
Clicked over 3,000 miles since picking it up on March 28. Oh, and found a source for 93 octane fuel at a nearby Shell station!
I cleaned Babs Skooby clubster. Shines like a new penny now. I used pre-wow & black wow for the first time. Very nice products. Sonax on the wheels, also a nice product. So clean inside & out, even cleaned the little French lump under the bonnet. I'm tuckered out.
MetroplexMINI monthly meeting at one of our sponsors - D&D Tint in Arlington. And since they had put on Daphne's full bonnet clear bra four years ago she got a free clear bra detailing! Actually the guy went over the whole car since she was washed this morning... score!
Installed Powerflex bushing inserts in the trans mount today. Took a little under 90 minutes from start to finish with cleaning all the removed parts before reassembly.
Got my new muffler. I love the sound! It has a nice throaty sound. No drone or resonance. I am considering removing the resonator but I'm going to run this way for a while. Thank you to Austinsynthetics for the idea. On lift On the ground The removed exhaust (damn thing is HEAVY)
Clayed the car. I have not done this before. I was pretty surprised as to what this picks up. However, I still have some stubborn road goobers that won't come off. Will tackle that later, it is Mothers Day.
