I could smell oil burning in the cabin. It had been leaking along the back of the cover, right below the cabin filter intake. Replaced the valve cover gasket, smells like that fixed it.

This has nothing to do with a Mini ,but I just got a new phone Samsoug S24+. I'm going to have to take ca class on how to use it. I found it on YouTube. I think it might be easier to build a time machine. I guess I'm getting to old for this stuff. What ever happen to the phone?

Gotta agree with you. These new phones are truly amazing but I know I barely scratch the surface with the few simple things I do on mine.

More power in your hand than what we used to go to the moon. I got my Ham licenses last month, since I could not work I thought I would take the time to study for the test. Anyway, I bought this Ham clock that runs on a computer. It is a very small computer, like a Raspberry Pi. I am amazed something that small can do the things it does.

Have had a turbo side catch can for
a few years with the PVC side blocked.

Just put in a second one on the PVC
side. Didn’t want to route a new hose
to the manifold because it looks like
a pain in the ass to do, so used the
stock vent hose, but tore it messing
with it. Just as well, as when I taped
and sealed it back together, I changed
the angle at the top which made routing
from the catch can outlet to the top end
of the vent hose much easier and better.

BTW.. I am cleaning out my father-in-law's workshop.
Lots of small tools I dont have space for.
Offering up for free if anyone is interested in the Chicagoland area.
Was not really interested in shipping, but might be able to work something out

I was watching TOP GEAR UK today (on roku). That has to be one of the funniest programs I have ever seen. I can't stop laughing.

Changed to my summer wheels for my MINI.. The Clubman will wait a few more weeks because we often get an early April snow.

A couple wheels needed a little help from Mr. Mallet despite using anti-seize. Since I had them powder-coated it has been a very tight fit.

Something kind of different happened to Checkers. I took Checkers out of storage so I could wash it and start to get ready for a show in May. After I gave it a wash it didn't want to start so I put the battery charger on it overnight. (After storage I sometimes have a low battery.) , but it still didn't want to start so I pulled the battery out and had it checked. It checked out ok so I put it back in and it started just fine. I'm not sure what happened but I'll have it checked out later. For now it seems to be working fine.
