350 mile roadtrip yesterday in the 2012 Clubman to visit my daughter and see/listen to her music concert.
Replaced the failed left barn door switch and patched the torn PVC to manifold hose on my R55 (which is now actually a catch can to manifold hose).
I've got my first car show this year on Sunday. Time to start cleaning the car. This show should be pretty good they have over 300 cars signed up. This year I am going to be in a different class. They call it the winners class. You go against the class winners from last year. The car is going to the detailer's on Friday they do real good job. I normally clean it my self, but for car show I like a little extra.
Overcast morning made for a very enjoyable drive to and from retiree breakfast. The onlyest snag was trying to dodge road construction as it is seemingly everywhere right now, but when finished it make for smoother driving.

Just got my car back from the detailers. It looks great. I will post some pictures later of my car and the show on Sunday.
Always look forward to seeing Checkers and with the number of cars at the show it should be quite the event.
Today's drive was a couple hundred miles thru western Wisconsin.. lots and lots of twisty roads for 22 MINIs and a Jaguar XKR (Classic Mini owner) Click on picture or link to go to the video sample of some of the fun roads we drove.. Viroqua to West Salem by Ernesto Vumbles, on Flickr
I'm back. My laptop must have needed an oil change, anyway it's been in the shop the last few days. As soon as I get a chance I post some pictures. The final count was 314 cars and I have never seen so many cars with such great detailing. My class had 30 cars. All winners from last year.
Sounds like it a fantastic event and am really looking forward to seeing your pictures. How did Checkers do ??
I can say they are safe cars one week after my dings and dents and scratches are all removed and hood resprayed this happened to me turning left and they hit me doing 60-65 and I spent 2 days in trauma center with broken sternum and broken wrist and kidney damage but I’m alive and already bought another R56 which I’ll be putting pictures up soon but just look at my baby it’s gone so sad…
