I don't know I left early. They have around 30 groups and my was the last one. It takes like 2 or 3 hours. I'll fine out in a few days. It's hard to go against different class's. Every one has likes their own group.
Here's some pictures I took with my camera. I took a lot more with my new phone and as soon as I can find out how to get the dam think works I'll post them.
Some new toys were dropped on my doorstep today.. This will be my first time doing brakes.. I need to get some time in the next 2 weeks because I lose my extra offsite garage space and wont have room to work on the MINI without leaving other stuff outside.
The brakes are a pice of cake. You will need the brake tool that squeeze and rotate for the back brakes.
Brake job day 1.. I am going slow and don't have a ton of free time so it is going to take a while. Moved the Sunbeam Alpine off to my remote garage storage (that I only have available for 2 more weeks) so I have room in the garage to work.. Everything was going smoothly till I got to these two rusted bolts.. Broke a cheap socket that I keep as part of my in-car kit.. Dug out a craftsman socket and a long cheater bar and finally got them off.. Passenger front rotor and pad are pretty bad, but not as bad as I thought they would be.. Tomorrow will clean up all the parts, retract the piston and try to get the new rotor and pads on and then on to the other front one..
I'm thinking about changing my brake calipers. I have JCW's from 05 but I like the look of the GP2 calipers better. My shop is getting me a price for the front , rear and labor. This seems to be a never ending project.
First wheel is done.. nice and shiny. tonight will try to move on to the next one. I painted the calipers 11 years ago.. they have held up pretty well
Drivers side front came apart a little easier than the passenger side until I got to the T50 set screw. Banged on it with an impact tool and it finally came out.. needless to say it wont be used on assembly.
The back rotor set screws gave me all sorts of troubles and was not able to loosen them. A friend stopped by and helped loosen them with a bigger heavier hammer than what I was using, and helped me to retract the rear pistons. Doing a bit of cleanup and will hopefully get time to start putting stuff together later tonight or tomorrow. followed by a brake bleed/fluid change.
Had a friend come help me detail changed antenna to stubby and put the S on grill~~ and yes those are 18’s
