Not yet. I'm going to the detailer's today for a ceramic wash and then I'll start on the engine compartment. I got 3 days. That should be enough. I did the polishing a week ago.
Chicago MINI Motoring Club drive today.. Fantastic fall weather.. 35 miles of fun (for Chicagoland) roads and a stop at a club member's garage where he stores a bunch of cool cars including a GP1, GP2 and GP3. I agree with @Ernesto fall drives this year are spectacular and getting to look at very nice group of cars with friends would be the icing the cake.
The new coil packs and the colder plugs will be here Wednesday and along with the new downdraft pipe install it should be a major improvement and can’t wait
The show was pretty good, but as usual I left early. I'll find out later if I won. There was a lot of nice cars but not to many new minis. This has nothing to do with cars but I watching one of my favorite movies YOUNG FRANKENSTAIN. I must have seen it 30 times but I still think it funny.
That’s kewl I watched Christine last night another kewl movie! My first car was a 1962 Chrysler 300 2 door jet black with red leather! Man what a ride at 16…
@Homazur your minis looking good. I put a decat down pipe on my R57 it made a big difference! My son has the car now.
Ahhh! New plasma coil packs came today all the way from Japan and 100% spark! Can’t wait to see difference no lag!
Hovered the MINI today... Changed the original 15 YO serpentine belt... Checked the harmonica pulley (thanks Chuck).. Also greased the rear outa-control arms... Looked for rust while under the MINI... Couldn't find any... Not driving it in salty Ohio winters probably is a good thing...
