I have mine stored with hangers on the garage wall... I got the 7000TL, which is overkill for the MINI, but it will lift the Ford Explorer... The 7000 is heavy to lift and hook on the wall... They do make a lighter unit, I believe it's the 5000 series... The MINI was sitting solid up in the air... The 7000 series has a higher lift height than the 5000... Not too complicated to set up with the hoses and pump... Probably the same amount of time compared to jacking up and putting the MINI on 4 jack stands.... Might even be quicker... Sure is nice to press a button and up it goes...
Massive repair on my '06 MCSa from Best Motor Werks..new supercharger and lots of other fixes...good for at least another 50K miles if I live that long. Wife creamed the aero front end of her '06 MCSa and got a new R53 one plus a new radiator and some other shit, so she's good to go until her next fender bender. My '03 R50 got a new radiator locally and its CVT refreshed from MAG, but I shall NEVER go to that place again...they truly SUCK...kept the car for 10 days and then screwed up the CVT refresh, causing me to spend a night in Columbus before getting the car back and the long ride home due to the mistakes their so-called mechanic made. They wouldn't even pay for my night at the hotel, so, from now on, it's off to Best Motor Werks for me. This has been a shitty month...........
Was out for the day in the Clubman and spotted this carpet covered van.. The shag-wagons I'm used to always had the carpeting on the inside ;-)
The good thing is that your automotive concerns have been addressed and hopefully no more will crop up for quite some time.
My before and after pictures I am having my down draft installed tomorrow along with oil change and colder plugs and my new plasma coil packs and then it’s off for some test spins! Woo Hoo!
Took the Vancouver MINI Cooper Club on a drive to the indoor GoKart track. We got to the track only to find it was fully booked for private events that day already. https://www.flickr.com/photos/beken/albums/72177720321602276
Our Chicagoland club used to do a mid-winter indoor karting event for many many years and they were very accommodating to us. in the past couple years the price increases, mandatory 10% additional "tip" and inflexibility (charging an up-front per-person fee and not being able to change based on how many people actually showed on the day, even though we were well above their minimum event participant counts) led us to stop going.. I miss the event, but not the headaches of planning.
Saturday was our annual club drive to Starved Rock State Park. Always a club favorite, we had over 30 cars out for the 75 mile back road drive. Starved Rock by Ernesto Vumbles, on Flickr Here is a link to a couple more pictures https://www.flickr.com/photos/ernestovumbles/albums/72177720321841259
