Now this is what I can identify with this……not the everything going smoothly in record time project stuff.
Sorry you are having to deal with that. At least there's no blood to be seen. Good luck with the project.
I got two new wheel bearings for the helmet. I think the left may be going out so I decided to do both. It will be next week before I can do them it’s hot and sunny here. I am on antibiotics and learned the hard way sun, heat and antibiotic dont play well. So I am rebuilding Webber carbs today. I did one yesterday day. The ultrasonic cleaner made it look new.
Wife doesn't want to drive her Pepper White MINI anymore...anyway, she's a lousy driver and I had to replace the front end on her MINI. Now, new problems are apparent. The a/c doesn't work due to the repaired front end damage, the power steering needs some CHF every now and then, the car is rusting out and the front wheels may need new bearings or pads [I'm too old to look down there as once down, I'll never get back up]. It looks like "webuyanycar.com may be getting a call from me, unless you know of anyone who may want to take on a slightly abused '06 MCSa btw, I am also called wmwny and am NOT a newbie.
I MADE A TOOL TODAY... I want to change out the fuel filter in my MINI... Went to Menards and bought a $5.00 4" diameter PVC pipe coupling and cut a series of 12 notches that will mate with the clamping ring on the filter housing... Filter and gaskets for the change out... MINI fuel housing clamping ring and DIY tool... Perfect fit... I can't finish the filter change out until I run the fuel level down to one red candy corn...
Chicago MINI Motoring Club drive thru a bunch of cul de sacs ending at an iconic area hotdog stand. We got some rain in the middle of the drive, but it cleared up after we arrived for a nice chance to hang out Traffic jam in the cul de sacs Two GP3s and one GP2 in attendance Here is a link to more pictures https://www.flickr.com/photos/ernestovumbles/albums/72177720329174558
This is not the new MINI GTI addition. Just this Old Fart's MINI replacement bread-van. Spent 4 hours cleaning it up today. Maybe I'll do the interior tomorrow. If I have the energy. It's been neglected for the last 10 months while I had other more important things to take care of.
Looks great Chuck! Back in the early 80's I had an X1/9 that I did SCCA autocross. I always won my class........Till a guy in a MK1 GTI showed up! He beat me every time. I still love those cars. I would like to have a MK1.
