You should have told me where you were going. I have about a hundred miles of bailing twine here you could have added to the ball. Jim
All is good again. After my little drive to NC, then back to MO, then Colorado (3855 miles), I debugged Scooter, polished a bit, then had the cowl rubber replaced. Now that rubber is like new factory, seems Colorado sun, windshield install and battery install can ruin the cowls. Always nice to have fresh cowl rubber. Now for some more driving this weekend, MT Evans beckons. :fingerscrossed: Don
It's gotta be big and impressive 'cause it's a pain to get to. Even bigger now as there were some easy to entertain Virginians adding to it while we watched. ...or was that us being easily entertained?
Removed, processed, packaged and shipped 1840 miles worth of bug jerky. Clay bared and machine waxed the tired li'l guy. Tomorrow is glass, interior, undercarriage, wheels and tires and tire rotation. Phew! Having fun doesn't end at the last under steer, does it.
You must be really skinny to get under the car on a creeper to do the undercarriage. You go buddy. Jim
Not that complicated. Got a buddy with an alignment shop that for a couple of beers on a Friday late afternoon will let me run the li'l guy up on his lift. This afternoon a complete and tedious detail and finish treatment of the cabin and engine bay. Black molding, wheel wells and wheels tomorrow. Found another couple bushels of dead bugs behind the grill and other tight corners. I think the wounded ones crawl back as far as they can to die just to annoy me.
Took a long drive up the freeway to really test out the gearing with the new tires. Did I say I love my justa????? Look out MOTD 11. I hope nobody with an "S" gets in the way and slows me down. Jim
Did you swap for a different transmission or go for a shorter tire profile? What did you do to correct for the speedometer error?
Little Wing is at the dealer for her "well child check up." She's getting new, black bonnet stripes while there.
