Did the first highway drive with the Vibratechnics engine mount. Muuuuuuch better than the TSW in my car. But now I hear more weird noises that I couldn't hear before because of all the other noises. I have a mystery exhaust leak somewhere. Thought it was the exhaust manifold gasket, but that wasn't it. Somewhere in that area though. Will have to put it on stands this weekend and find it.
I'll take 10. If they were red LW would need a lot more than 30 to outrun the folks with the legal flashing red lights. :cornut:
Scooter is quieter. Pulled the DDM Works open intake yesterday. I went with the facotry JCW Stage 1 Intake with the cone filter. Not sure I miss the whoosh and pop of the DDM, the 07 MCS is really quiet, but now I can hear dash rattles. :confused5::frown2: Guess I will play the music louder. Next is a new windshield, #3. Grrrrrr. :mad2: Don
Sent you a PM ... I did not remove the headlight assembly. I opened the bonnet, removed the cover from the back of the headlight assembly, and removed the turn signal lamp as if to change the bulb. Then I reached in with my finger and pushed on the lens cover until it popped out. It should then fall through the opening at the bottom of the headlight assembly. Some use a pencil or back of a screwdriver to push the lens out. Be very careful if you do that because you don't want to use too much force and possibly damage the main lens of the headlight assembly. I had a bit of trouble with one lens because it flipped over when it popped out and then could not fit through the opening in the bottom of the assembly. Just as I was about to give up on trying to flip it over and remove the headlight assembly it turned and fell out. Neither lens cover is damaged and they are now filed away in my spare parts collection. It took me about 20 minutes including the time spent trying to flip the one lens over. Some states require amber turn signals, but white front signals are legal in FL. The 2011 Florida Statutes 316.234 Signal lamps and signal devices.— ... The lamps showing to the front shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and, when signaling, shall emit white or amber light. Sorry Chuck, but that is the total amount of my knowledge on the subject, however I wanted to be helpful. Jim
Actually this one (I have an '06): Right Hand Engine Mount - Vibra-Technics Compliance Technology There is a US version of the vibratechnics site. Also colingreene can get them.
Drove Little Wing to my baby's High School graduation and then a celebratory dinner after. Where did the time go?
These help significantly in my experience, at least on the front. I think the rears are less functional.
