Them poor cows will be giving sour milk for a week. I changed the oil in Tom's coupester S. While not a hard job, that blasted overflow bottle sure gets in the way. With 8,500 miles on the clock only 3.5 quarts of oil came out. You R56 MCS owner's better be checking your oil.
Went to a British Car show today. BEAUTIFUL DAY! Sunny, high of 75 with a light breeze. I did not enter my car, but when I was driving in, the old guy directing traffic said my car looked sweet and I should enter it. Don't know if he was hitting on me or serious about the car...... either way, I'll take the compliment
Went over to our local C&C and met up with a lot of MINIs and Exotics, we had fun. Drove the MCS over and then back, took out the Countryman to the C&C, then went on a nice mountain drive with our local club, picnic and a nice rain drive, found a new road with a lot of potential for twisty fun. Look at my Picasa albums later. Upload in progress, pictures soon. Don
One or two looked good, but more were a bit too much (IMHO). So I went to this instead. Easy to update each year.
Settled on the Mountex CD-slot mount for my 'droid, to use for a while. Keeps it at a good level, solid. Got an appropriate-length micro-USB cable to use with it, right angle'd at the 'droid end. Bluetooths into the aux-in port on my non-USB H/K system. I can run TuneIn Radio, Pandora, 'droid Music, SiriusXM, Nav, etc. all from the one device. Been using Waze lately for commuting, it's pretty slick. They don't recommend it for long-distance navigation; we had it pretty confused on a trip out to Troy, MO and back from west St. Louis, almost comically so. OTOH, it's great for getting traffic/roadside issues reported on my commute, or reporting same with only a safety-first couple of clicks. Can generate alternate routes quickly, "learns" what you usually do and suggests that ("Are you driving to work? Click here to resume Waze" or similar). Fun with technology .
Sold my Webbies today to another MINI owner who wants to powder coat his ordinal R98s. Now I can buy a set of Koni Yellows Sport to go with my Swift springs.
Haven't done it yet, but I *feel* a Whalen shift knob in Little Wing's future. I don't think I can help myself...not my fault...
Your 3rd?!? Do you wear them out? I don't need encouragement, I need an intervention...but... Thanks! They are beautiful and I hear they feel great. True craftsmanship.
