Took me mum to the dentist this afternoon and upon returning home, just an easy gap wedge shot (for those dying to know, it's 54° with 13° bounce custom ground Callaway XTour) just short of the garage, the odometer turned 60,001.
Sorry John but the new SilverWhite JCW was awesome and flawless, the GP, though very nice and still OEM, was showing its age.
My British aunt actually did wear out 3 minis. She bought one of the very first ones off the line! On her last visit I picked her up in Atlanta, drove her to Jacksonville,FL, then a week later to Columbia, SC in Little Wing. She loved it! She passed away last summer so that trip was the last time I saw her. I'm so glad that we were able to motor in my new MINI and that she enjoyed it so much. She told me stories of her adventures in her 3 beloved minis in England. Oh, and my son played the Grateful Dead while we were on the road. She thought it was very good music and asked to listen to it again, so we turned her into a Dead Head too. She was 84. Back on topic, I didn't do anything with my Mini today. There's always tomorrow...
Drove it to Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. Met with other MINI owners and others to watch racing. Drove home. A very good day, so good in fact I think I'll do it again tomorrow!
I made that same drive up to Mid Ohio today and will make it again tomorrow morning.....and then again Sunday morning.
Not a darn thing. I was supposed to go on a road rally this morning, but a severe thunderstorm took care of that. It has been coming down hard all day long and the rain is suppose to continue for the next week. Bummer.

Finally got around to getting my brake job done. Almost there. Only need to put on the SS brake lines and bleed the system. My thanks to Chad and the gang @ Detroittuned. They hooked me up with some great products !!
Spent the last 10 hours in Winter Park Colorado with the other MITM team folks. Good drive up, fast drive down, roads are very good. Even managed to hit the twisty two lanes on the way up. I love driving my R56 in the Rockies. Don
