OK, how's this? I filled up Little Wing today although I had about 1/2 tank. Just as I was watching the gas meter go higher and higher and wondering why it was taking so much gas I felt cold liquid running over my feet and heard the overflowing waterfall of gasoline. The pump didn't click off! :mad2: I washed my feet and shoes. Do I use my regular car shampoo on Little Wing? Or something else? What about my 2 coats of Epic, 2 coats of Hydro Seal, and several coats of Hydro? Are they gone? Do I need to do anything special around the gas cap area? It was all flooded with gas. I am always so careful not to top off my tank too!
I hate when that happens. Yes all of your paint protection has been washed away with that gasoline. Wash your baby real good (regular car wash soap) & reapply the Epic to the area that was rinsed with gas.
Thanks! I had planned to wash the car today anyway... Well I washed it with Mystique, and for every panel I washed, I returned to the gasoline panel and rewashed it. I didn't use Epic though, I dried the whole car with Hydro. It's really, really hot out there today. What is really visibly stripped away is the Black Wow on the wheel arch. So I washed and rinsed the plastic trim really well too. I may go out later if it cools off and Pre Wow, then Black Wow that area. If not, then in the AM. So, I guess I really should remove the Hydro from that panel, then reapply Epic? I do now know that Black Wow should go on in advance of Epic because I am a klutz and I will get Epic all over the trim, no matter how careful I am. It was a Chevron station that I never use. I was just passing by and stopped in for a bottle of Techron which the SA at MINI suggested I start to use every 3K miles. Since I was there it seemed a good idea to just fill up the car. I never got inside for the Techron. My demeanor wasn't very lady like at the time. :incazzato: I should have told them though. No telling how many people that happened to after me. I also need to learn to stand to the side so that my feet don't get doused with gasoline just in case. At least I wasn't wearing good shoes this time.
I am not that way about the house. :blush2: Can't wait to see you tail lights. Too bright and red sounds just right. Wait, they were too bright and red?
Changed oil and filter tonight. Heading down to NC Wednesday morning, closing on our house Thursday morning!
Looks good to me. Kind of matches the whole darkened theme you have. Me I'm sticking with my Christmas MINI.
Very cool! What do they look like when you step on the brakes? What did you do with your old ones? :biggrin5:
When the lights are on you can completely see them lit up... brakes shine brightly thru as well. It's the coolness of the Nightshade. It looks so dark, but a bulb shines right thru it. Oh, these are the original taillights... not new :cornut:
