Go to our library for this How to replace a clutch slave cylinder and bleed the clutch - Library..... This works for 1st & 2nd Gen...
no but i was finally able to do it once we were able to break the bleeder screw loose. (whos idea was it for the bleeder screw to be plastic?) i was able to fire up the car and now all i have to do i hope is finish adding trans fluid. the only part im worried about is the shifter feels really sloppy like there are no gears.
Scooter dynos well Ran down to Colorado Springs for some spa care at a local dyno shop with the SOCOM MINI folks, we had a day on the dyno and dinner with a departing warrior. Scooter made it on the dyno about 1:30pm. Warm, 87 degrees, 6350 elevation, humidity 20-30, rain storm coming over Pikes Peak as we ran the MINI for a few pulls. I am running the stock 07 MCS ecu, no tune. All updates applied by the dealer so a 2010 ecu image. 195whp/215tq Exhaust 2 1/2 pipe with resonator feeding to a 2009 JCW Factory Muffler. Bigger than stock but not 3 inch. No Downpipe. Intake is MINI JCW Stage 1 with cone filter, flows better and cooler than open CAIs. I do have a Helix Intercooler, but MINI was pretty warm due to the 120 mile drive to Colorado Springs. 2007 ECU image pulled 207HP, so updates tamed it down. Previously I had a RMW tune on the ECU it pulled 192whp/265tq. I'm happy with the pulls, Dyno was a SuperFlow Dyno with an expert dyno guy who builds race engines for a living, honest numbers. Don
Washed the CM today (Co-pilot got me too Crash). It is bigger, but does not seem to have all the nooks and crannies that my hatch has. Washes fasted then my hatch does. Jim
Parade and Festival near the "Field of Dreams" location with a great group of MINI friends. This photo just prior to the parade was not at Ray Kinsella's famous cornfield...
This is in front of Rays house. I stopped by the Field of Dreams movie site this past Thursday on my way from Waterloo to Gutenburg. Neat place!
Washed, Hydro'd both the CM and the MCS today, looks some much better. I will post a pic later of them resting in the garage!
figured out why the shifter wont shift the trans. hoping i can get piece tomorrow to make a show on wednesday
Crashtonlube is at it again. I changed the oil in Babs Skooby the clubster. Dropped the old oil, installed a new Mann filter, 0w40 Mobile 1 & one of Mr. Dimple's magictized drain plugs. Thanks Nathan!. Very pleased to see it is not using oil at least not in 5,000 miles.
I was lucky enough just to drive my car into work today after driving around a Nissan Sentra for the last 3 days in NY. Not a bad car, but I sure missed my baby :ihih:
