Yeah.... What is this... Some kinda special club within the non-club.... This stuff needs to be broadcasted... My MINI is durty durty durty....:confused5:
Exchanged my Clubman for a convertible auto Cooper S today. It's just for a few days, while the dealership scrolls down the warranty laundry-list I gave them this morning.
Mostly follow-up stuff from the last visit. SRS sensor mat replacement in passenger seat (part has arrived from Germany)*, Paint flaw on the recently replaced hood scoop*, Passenger window won't go up correctly, Sunroof sticking, Sunroof gasket puckering (recently replaced gasket)*. * follow-up attention
Got a new air filter, (whole noticing that the cap's bracket on left side is broken! I need of a new one if anyone has R50 parts floating around) Filled up, with that fancy shmancy fuel system cleaner. Tomorow, wake up, wash myself and the MINI, and go to the brewery tour. Good weekend thus far.
Let my son take my MINI on a trip up to Baltimore MD. I know I am nuts but it is for a good cause. He is volunteering at the Baltimore Grand Prix and this weekend is a training session.
fixed the power steering pump and drove it for the first time in 9 months!!!!!! oh and now it has a 6 speed instead of a cvt
Just got back from a delightful outing with my brother and sister MOMers and meeting some new faces..... Had a great run out in the twisties just south of Columbus.... Shared the road with an Amish horse and buggy... Got a little air time with some of the "Whoop De Do" hills... Had a fun time at the fruit farm and picked up some home made apple butter. Did a loop through the Lancaster Maximum Security Correctional Center.... Saw a few folks outside being corrected.... I still can't get over the fact you can drive through that place..... They sure had plenty of shiny razor wire on display..... I wonder why they were trying so hard to keep us out of that place... Had a super time at the Rock Mill brewery... Tasty beer, got a bottle of the triple cask whiskey barrel aged beer .... Enjoyed the little lunch outside.... Had a great time today Mark, thanks for putting the run together... And thanks for the fancy beer flutes, they will be put to good use....
Yes big fun running over hill & dale with our friends from the MoM dount munch group. Man donuts, peaches, fun roads & beer tasting all in one day!:donut1: Life is good. Babs, Tom, Rachel, Mike & I had lunch in Canal Winchester at the Harvest Moon Cafe. Great place to rest after a long fun day. Oh & I turned over 110,000 miles on Christmas Rock road. :biggrin5:
Nothing (the Clubbie's in the shop) , but took the loaner Cabriolet S on a winding drive to San Marcos to get kolaches. P.S. The long summer is definitely coming to an end. It only got up to 93F today (down about seven degrees from the last month's worth)!
Sounds like the MOM'rs had a great day. Wish we could have come along. We instead took the JCW down to Lexington to drop our youngest off to UK for freshman year. Got to spend some nice time with her and her new friends before the bittersweet ride home to the empty nest. Got this pic of the library. Huge. Like the size of a basketball arena. Donated and paid for by the guy that created JIF peanut butter. (so my kid thanks you for buying JIF)
Went out with the mom'rs. Tons of fun. And had apple cider slushies. (something no one else mentioned.)
I saw a lot of apple cider slushies being eaten yesterday at the fruit farm. Thanks for reminding us! Did anyone else get caught behind an Amish Buggy besides Metalmam?
I saw one climbing the hill on SR 664. I had just enough line of sight & horsepower to make a safe pass. M/M Chuck was at the end of our line of cars & he had to wait for the buggy to crest the hill.
