+1...Nice Wing. That would have looked good on the Brewery Tour yesterday.....oh yeh, you and JJ were virtually with us!
Today I applied Epic to the MINI. After the final wipe down, noticed I've got water etchings on a little bit of the hood and roof. Not much, just enough to irritate me. With it being a new car, 4 months old, not sure how to tackle eliminating them. Suppose I'm just nervous about doing anything to the paint since its newer. On the plus side, the epic really did its job. Really looks good.
:cornut: Polishing Clay is the answer. It won't hurt the paint. Plug 'polishing clay' into the SEARCH function to the right and above and it will take you to a nice article telling all about it. Jason
Try this thread about clay... http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/detailing/4927-clay-not-rocket-surgery.html#axzz248jBip00 Please don't be offended by Jason's telling you to use search, we normally don't do that around here.
Not offended at all. I appreciate the help towards what I need to do to correct the etchings. That thread was extremely helpful. Just need to get some clay and set away a day to go at it. Thank you, both of you for the help!
Washed both MINIs, Hydro, Hydro, Hydro! Got my dealer to replace my Carbon Fiber MINI Mirror caps on the 07 MINI under warranty, I am so pleased. CF Mirror Cap on the right was showing some CF crazing, odd for a hand laid product! NEW CF Mirror Caps, love it when a plan comes together. Don
Beautiful day in Dallas! Finally got some rain yesterday and it was probably 75 degrees when I drove in to work. Great day to have the windows down (though 99% of my fellow motorists had their windows up and the AC blasting).
added the hood scoop finally and fixed the driver side scuttle cause the tab broke. slowly crossing off my list of stuff to do still
No I'm pretty sure the are a bunch of nice interesting disorganized silverbacked old farts. My kind of folks.
Tried to figure out why the passenger window won't move up or down. Also tried to figure out why the driver axle clicks every now and then(maybe low on trans fluid?)
