Finally getting caught up on stuff. Replaced serpentine belt and tensioner pulley. Added tensioner stop. Replacing upper motor mount now (dang thing puked all over the frame...), then replacing old coolant reservoir.
Went to dinner with some MINI peeps... They haven't seen RYU since his transformation so he got some props
i finished my prep on a set of R56 trailing arms by grinding off the drop link stanchion in preparation of bolting them to my R53...oh and a set of R56 rear brakes and ebrake cables to finish it off lol
Drove to King's Island with the family. Lil' B.A.D. got to ride his first big roller coasters. His favorite was Backlot Stunt Coaster, which use to be called The Italian Job
I stay away from those rides.... I just can't handle them anymore... Hope that never happens with the MINI....
No problem MM. When you can't handle the twisties, you just start driving like an old fart. MINI's are accommodating like that. Jim
pulled off the holies and added my 16" bbs Rc wheels but the girl doesnt like them so once im done painting the holies i get to have them back.
Out of the garage and back on the road. Got the new upper motor mount completed (Texas speed works) and put the new coolant reservoir in too. (Thanks M/A Library!!!!) As noted before, the new belt and tensioner pulley went in this past week. Idle is quieter and less rattly. Revs sound smoother too. The new motor mount gave some "different" NVH but shifts seem easier. I suppose more stable power train helps the shifting. Good day overall because I got to take it out for a run. I love the sound and feel of a supercharger....:biggrin5: Time to be handing the MINI back to the 19 yr old and I will start messing around with the Mazdaspeed6.
Got my new tars mounted on my "new to me", refurbished wheels. Man, what an improvement in ride over those stiff run flats.
