Well, maybe not today, but I got my 2011 Clubman S about 10 days ago: - Detailed it out, used back to black and armour all, hope that is not a problem - ordered a stock front license plate mount since MI does not have one and VA does - ordered soem things for flat tires - a plug kit, a 12v inflator and some tpm safe slime - told my wife that she will eventually get the hang of shifting this wicked fast beast, which of course she already has done - she's a natural - found the neat little storage space above the glovebox - rode it around some virginia mountain roads, just like it was on rails - scraped the dealer sticker off the rear doors - discovered that I have a 3M protective film on the on the front end, what did that cost? - resolved to take time to set the Sirius stations that I want - talked the car up to anyone who would listen - found myself wondering why there is not a dealer closer than 2-1/2 hours, maybe Roanoke could get one? Lots of MINIs in the area. - got a rental car in Spain, a BMW series 1 which I used to think was really great, but after having the MINI, it is quite lacking in seat comfort and quality of internal controls - OK, its new to me so I have more to report, but I sincerely believe I will enjoy this car.
A little late to report (this was 9 days ago) participated in a MINI of Allentown / PhillyMINI event:
left it at home cause Sunday it thru a CEL while on a rally but it did it as we were cruising at 40mph and not getting sideways going around curves and such. Taking it in Saturday for a diagnosis!
:cornut: Went to school(UNT) and back, Sherman to Denton,Tx, 116mi round trip 3 days/wk. 3/4 of the trip is back country roads and only 1/2 of the trip has any traffic to speak of. After 31yrs, I'd forgotten how much fun this school racket is. There are so many students that are veterans back from overseas that the socialist liberal tree huggers have to watch their P's and Q's. They even have Air Force ROTC who wear their uniforms once a week. It's great. Jason
I drove to work and realized I need to wash the crap off my car from yesterday's monsoon weather :frown2:
I would have done the same but the husband's got the Jeep somewhat disassembled right now and his car's in the shop so he got the truck rrr: The "I don't want to get my car dirty" didn't fly
Stripped the imitation wood grain off the door ovals (not to be confused with the oval track thread). Cleaned them up and cut the patterns for the vinyl which will go in their place. Tomorrow the two dash sections. Jim
Lol I like busting your stones Jim  Tonight like I said, I came home and washed the MINI...no more rain crap
Yesterday Lois motored Poco when we went out for dinner, when she got on the throttle, I could see a smile, as the old boy can still go
