Finally fixed my wonky roof issues and I have a fully functioning convertible top again! (it stopped working at the end of June) I replaced the driver's side sunroof cable due to a bad crimp but after that repair, the sunroof worked but the second stage wouldn't retract. Yesterday I finally had good enough weather to take a look and a little "percussive maintenance" popped the main bow (sunroof part) back into alignment with the hall sensors and the top decided to retract fully again! Now I can't wait to finish work at 5 so I can finally do some open motoring on the way home!
Found the annoying squeak that was emanating from somewhere I couldn't see when driving... a seatbelt was caught behind a rear seat from when I had them flipped down. Simple, but a satisfying fix nonetheless.
Nothing to report. My car was perfect again today, but it is a justa of course, so what else would I expect? Jim
Took it for a drive after 2.5 months of waiting for the repairs to become reality. Let the FUN resume!!!
Drove in to work.... windows down, no tools in front of me For anyone interested: The hubby got his car back from the bodyshop yesterday- they did NOT do a good paint job :frown2: He's kinda fed up with the car now since this was the second time it had been rear-ended. So if he doesn't get whooped back up about the car, there may be another English car in our garage in the near future
Motored to work, windows down in the rain. Motored home with the windows down, in what felt like a steam bath. Have I every mentioned I motor year round with the windows down:crazy: with the ipod cranked, so I can hear it over the Megan:lol: Mark
After the above I gave my 13 year old niece and 11 year old nephew rides in the MINI. They told their friends and next I know there was a line of kids queued. I told them it was an E ticket ride.
After spending 7 day's in Maui with the kids... the wife and I were kid free tonight (well at least for three hours) so we took the Mini out for a little sushi. LB
Oh cool! Just got back from Maui ourselfs last week after spending the previous week in Kauai :cornut:
I walked past both of ours parked in their new garage, and got tools to put a new battery in the truck Mark
