Just finished woarsching my MINI.... Seems a bunch of renegade black starlings left calling cards.... Glad I had a nice coat of Prima for protection.... All is well now... Don't let that %@&$ sit on the paint too long....
I just had my trans fluid changed today with AMSOIL sever gear 75-90 along with AMSOIL Signature Series 100% Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil. This is the only stuff I have put in my car for the past 4 years and it runs great. I also had the valve cover off awhile ago and my RMW BVH & CAM still looks brand new. Great oil and fuel are are cheap insurance for very expensive performance parts. I change my oil every 3-4k no mater what and I also run Meth. AMSOIL - Severe Gear® Synthetic Extreme Pressure (EP) Gear Lube 75W-90 (SVG) AMSOIL - Signature Series 100% Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil (ASL)
Added my new license sticker so I can continue to roam the Ohio back roads. Checked my Mobile 1 oil. :ihih:
:cornut: You've got me there, I don't know. BUT, if you can't find a GP then an R53 BRG is the next best choice, yes?(as we both have BRG JCW although mine is a mere lowly R56):lol::lol::lol::lol: Jason
I visited the electrons on line that will some day become our new Mini. They're in a computer in Old Blighty waiting to be turned from an electronic order into steel, plastic and rubber. Probably won't make it to our garage until early Feb. Looking forward to our first Mini.
Got snow tires mounted, Blizzak LM-60s Just in time for the STL MINI Club Holiday Lights Drive tonight...
:cornut: Snow??????????????????????? Oh yeah now I remember. We had some of that about 5yrs ago. You've never really seen a demolition derby until you've seen Texans drive on snow and ice at 70mph.:lol::lol::lol::lol: Jason
Did a rally with Carlisle MINI today ....great fun but the Blizzaks do slow you down in the corners.... I swapped to my winter wheels two weeks ago. A bit early.. I run LM-60's too. They are awesome in the snow....
:cornut: Did a country road circumcounty drive with Raleigh(90lbs Rotti/Lab), cigars,Starbucks, Journey/Dire Straits/Fleetwood Mac at north of 70mph on the good roads. But it was very cold with the windows and roof hole open. Plum down to 62F(Tee Hee). Jason
62.... That is not cold. I sold my spare set of 16s with snow tires today to a nice MINI5280 club member today, she needed more than me. Like new, Yokahama W-Drives on Keonig wheels. Guess I will make do with my Nitto Motivos, they are great in the wet, so should be good in the snow. I will report back in after the February Icicle Run. Don
