Moved it out of the garage to check tire pressure. Had to move it anyway to get my saddle so I could ride my horse!!!
Sadly, I missed my MINI today. I didn't reveal it earlier as I wanted the new owner to have his moment to reveal his 'new' MINI to the local club, but I sold Jango a couple of weeks ago to Craig and Emily, local Dallas club members who moved to Oregon in the past year. As my wife and I moving to San Francisco, we are going to see if we can be a 1 car family for a while and her cross-over Volvo makes a whole lot more sense to be that one car.
Moved some $ around so we can pay it's ransom. Yes, it's arrived and we have a drop scheduled to make a ransom payment to free it from the clutches of the evil transportation and dealer system. Although instructed to come alone, we will insist on proof of life prior to any $ exchange. We've delt with these types many times before and they always try to pull some last minute tricks. We're ready to free our new baby and bring it home. :fingerscrossed:
Took the MINI to work and back home today.... It felt sooooo good.... Filled up the tank with some Shell 93....
Sadly, it never made it over 12 today, so Scooter stayed tucked warmly in the garage. But RocketDog was out and about, now I need 35 degrees so I can wash the little pup! Such is life!
Dropped off my downpipe to the mechanic today. Hopefully picking it up tomorrow on my way to work as long as Professor gets it done.
Made it to 30 today, no wash for RocketDog. Celebrating 31 years of a wonderful marriage with my lady over Sloppy Joes, I tried to get her to go out for some Italiano, but no! Of course, we leave for Costa Rica on Thursday morning, so perhaps I can redeem myself. Will have to wait until I get back to wash and drive the MINIs. Don
^^^ Congratulations!!! I bought my Classic on my last anniversary this past June..... I know she'd rather have gone to Costa Rica. Here's to a blissful life. :beer
LOVE Costa Rica! Daphne got to go to work with Rick today since I went to jury duty at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center with Stevie Ray Van. Didn't get picked!
I uninstalled my 3/4 completed installation of the NM Engineering Strut Tower Tie Bar. As it turns out, it's not compatible with the N16 engine on the R58/R59 as it doesn't clear the factory air box. :cryin: Outmotoring and Detroit Tuned have both subsequently fixed the prior erroneous information on their respective websites.
We took Skooby to see John & Anson over at Best Auto Werks for a few maintenance items. Hope they don't do a MINI golf video while she's there.
Slipped and slided around this morning. My commute which is 40 minutes on a really day took 2 hours to do. UGH...
Another spring like noon hour in January... Took PEPPERNSALT for a spin around the neibourhood as she is not driven over winter... This day was an exception...
