:biggrin5: Check my sig - I just traded my R56 in for an R52 MCS last month. :cornut: I wonder if it's possible to have my username changed...
Now that I have completed the mods I promised pictures of, here they are. The Amp was suppose to go in the hole located under the seat, but I did not want to take the seat out right now. There was plenty of room behind/under it, so I built a box and mounted it here. I have the "boost" system, so the small, upper door speaker was disconnected and two tweeters were placed in the "A" pillars. I had the grill badge mounted on the grill, but made a bracket and moved it to the light bar. More air flow into the engine this way. Jim
Thanks for the pics Jim! Looks great! Although I still don't know how your Cooper has boost???? Today I played hookie and went to our local shop and got my springs put on with an alignment. Woohoo! Much less wheel gap BEFORE: AFTER: AND NO MORE CRAP UNDER MY BOOT: Oh yeah, I also de-badged him :ihih:
Looks great guys! I washed my MINI today and then proceeded to drive it around town with the top down.... what a perfect day
Yes, but it is not an R56 and it is a result of the work that was recently completed. I do believe it is a belt noise, just not sure why a cold belt might squeak and a warm one wont. I've yet to query the braintrust...
Yeah, I knew it wasn't an R56. But belts can slip when cold- the hubby's Jeep had a belt squealing ever time he started it for forever until it was adjusted. Well, good luck with figuring it out!
I drove to work made blat noises, worked drove home made more blat noises. it was a good day nothing broke.
Belts are more likely to slip and squeal when cold. The rubber is harder and less plyant. When the warm-up from the rotational friction and general engine heat they stop squaling as tthe rubber softens and becomes more plyant.
I trailered her to MiniMeetWest with Gromie. Now she's detailed and parked with about 30 other MINI's. Oh, and we nearly killed the truck, need to upgrade the support vehicle!
