Savvy, I did consider the magnetic mount and the handheld. Magnetic mounts run the risk of scratching to paint. The whole setup cost me about $70. I wanted something that mounts and looks clean but can be easily removed so that's why I went with this setup. One of the main reasons I did this is when I go down to MOTD again since I can't use my radar detector the whole drive down.
Went to see the new Paceman at Ralph Schomp MINI last eve, NICE, took some pictures. Going to go see the same one again later this morning at MINI of Loveland, want to see it in daylight, will take some more pictures. It sits well, a bit beefy, my R56 felt small when I drove home last night. Don
Donuts and coffee with M.O.M.S. and then put on my vt engine mount and torque link. The take off is so much better, there is virtually no torque steer now, and the shifting is so so smooth. Could not believe and am still amazed that I would be able to feel a difference.
Drove up to MINI of Loveland to continue my stalk of the MINI Paceman All4 S being shown in Colorado the past two days. Scooter feels so small. Try this LINK, I think it might be open. Came home, spiffed the Countryman for the mountain drive on Sunday, I'm thinking we will clock 300 miles of mountain road sweetness. Had a good homemade Pizza for dinner, now off to some tea and reading. Enjoy Sunday, a day to drive your MINI. Don
Sounds like a great day! Love homemade pizza, I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit more so I can start making grilled pizzas again.
Hah..... This must have been "GP-2 Diffuser" install weekend. Those two T-20 torx screws in the rear bumper clip sure were fun getting back in.....
Yesterday we finally got to take Scarlett the Roadster out for a a good hard run. Small group, 8 other MINIs. Temps around 30f, so top up. She felt great in the twisties, best "out of the box" car I've ever had She developed a hearty burble about 1/2 way through the run
Drove Dr. Phibes down to Hickory yesterday and wouldn't you know, the local club went all out to make us feel at home! Thanks alot!
