Washed the snow crud off Rocketdog on Sunday, really shiny and clean. Wiped off the fresh wet snow today when the wife came home from work. :( Sub freezing and wet snow after an almost 60 degree Sunday.

    Love you Colorado. :)

Drove it to buy a car cover with this impending nasty weather on the way...also installed my new to me Whalen Shift Knob (I now understand what all the fuss is about!) and Dinan Strut Brace (Dinan is still blowing these out for $124, heck of a deal!!!)...

I had a good excuse to go look for a new exhaust.

Thought the price for the OBX cat back system was pretty good but investigated further and decided it would be too loud for me.

The JCW exhaust is only $100 more than the standard R53 MCS exhaust.

The heat shield has been bent back into almost proper shape but the tailpipes will have to stay bent until I can afford to replace the exhaust.

The JCW exhaust is a fine piece. Highly recommended. :)

Had it done professionally - each thing on separate appointments. A fellow club member is a mechanic by trade, and also does work at home. Has special tool to press out old lower control arm bushing on the car. Took all of about 90 minutes to do the whole job. $200

The upper motor mount cost $168 including the part.

Then Jan's tune happened at Thunderhill Race Park a couple weeks ago.

Car now runs beautifully, nice strong power from 1500 to redline, RPM matching shifts, and maintains near perfect straight line or around corners, drives virtually effortlessly. And, I didn't need bigger fuel injectors for low end torque. After all, you only need enough gas to produce optimum AFR at a given speed, and throttle etc, and the stock injectors give you that up to redline, particularly after Jan's tune.

Yep it's snowing, blowing and snowing here.
Just an emergency precaution, would rather drive the 4x4 pickup, let it suffer that the salt.

Received a package containing some awesome RMW items (cam/450cc injectors); then got my car stuck in my driveway. :frown2: Summer tires + snow/ice + driveway with a hill + trees does not make for an ideal situation:mad5:

I got 'em out for a little play time (even let my son drive the R53) and some much needed Vitamin D..... Closed up with a couple beers and conversation.

    What a Great Day! :beer
