Switched out Nigel's winter shoes for the new summer ones: JCW Challenge wheels + Conti DW's 205/45-17. Converted to wheel studs with the switchover, also. Very pleased! Of course, 3 of the 4 tires had 42 psi from the tire shop, that'll teach me to check them all before I go out for a first drive. I'd considered Rota RBs or Breyton GTS's, but ultimately settled on the JCW rims since, well, I like them, and also you don't see them often on Ice Blue MINIs. Quick shot below, I almost didn't bother...as if folks hadn't seen JCW wheels. But I am liking how these are now filling the wheel wells nicely with the NM Alpha springs.
Hasn't been installed yet. March 19 by Anson at Best Motor Werks. The fresh air you smelled today is from me walking around the Short North and not driving.
:cornut: Drove my Grandson to the Phone Store to get his new LOADED with features phone. He brought it out and it drove us home, did our taxes on the way, made us a latte, and got him on the hiring list of several companies. WOW! You know, one of these days I guess that I'll be forced to get a cell phone. My son says that he's doing his best to drag me into the 21st century.:lol::lol: Jason
Driving out on the main highway this morning indicating turns for 68MPH a red grocery getter creeps up behind and goes around. Problem was we had just entered a no passing zone and sure'nuff an oncoming car crested the hill. I threw out the anchor and headed for the shoulder. The on comer and I locked eyeballs as we passed and we just shook our heads.
That's exactly what happened to a guy named Oscar Meyer and how his product got its name . . . Weenie. !!!!! Glad you're ok
Soon as I saw the idiot start to pull around into the no passing lane I set general quarters. Got real alert. My second thought was; if they did connect I'd go to the victim's car to see what assistance I could give and leave the idiot on her own to comtemplate her fate. Read previous post, I didn't have my phone with me so, in the event, we were on our own.
1,000 Crossed the first of many thousands of fun miles. Celebrated by taking Bertie to Mellow Mushroom. Bertie likes to get extra maranara sauce on the side and dip the crust edges like breadsticks. :drool
Put the summer tires back on and the winter tires back into storage until next winter. It better not snow next week.
