Search and destroy mission for a wind-induced 30-70mph rattle that's been driving me crazy for several thousand miles. Drove around the state with various things taped down with blue painter's tape. Stylin'!

Think it MIGHT have been the front drivers side TSW jack block, of all things. Tight now, we'll see if that does it....

Left it at the dealer for its last warranty visit. MINI USA urged me to take it back in for ongoing fuel gauge and satellite radio issues. I have some hope of relief for the inaccurate fuel gauge, none whatsoever for the Sirrius radio that sounds like a tin can. They are also looking at a noisy suspension, a radio that doesn't like to work below freezing sometimes, and a cracked aerial. Makes me want that '56 Morris Minor back a bit (simple car, simple problems).

Got an "Ice Blue" (toothpaste color) S-Vert w/auto as my loaner. Nice top-down weather.

I took a nice aggressive ride after work to burn some winter rubber off the tires.

Come on Spring I want to put on the Summer tires already.

I did this the other day; was coming up to turn into my driveway and decided I needed to blow off some steam so I probably passed my house going around 80-90... neighbors were looking at me funny when I pulled back in 20 minutes later. Oh the stunned faces people have when they see my MINI blow by them.
However, today I got an alignment; will take it out in a bit.

Ha.... I'm my younger days.... My dad would give me an "alignment" when I did those kind of things.... It tended to "straighten" me out quite nicely....:D

Heck, my dad encourages me; he thinks it's funny because I've always been a good kid. And he knows I take good care of my stuff.
After my drive the alignment is great thanks to Crashton for the rear set up. Couldn't do the front to his standards bc I don't have camber plates. Hugs the turns like a brute. Makes the turn its ______. You guys can complete that.

Did you pry the flap open on the intake? Nick did some awesome work on his where you can either leave it stock or keep it open without opening the box. I actually want to do what he did however, I would never have a need to close the flap

Actually I just took it out. On my '04 I gutted the JCW intake of all the fancy electronic parts. On this one I left them all intact, but didn't hook any of it up.

The old Sparco one in the MINI now has 2 years of hand grease in the Alcantara and it's lost it nape and grip.
