You are not mistaken. Long story. Got her to change her mind. I'll post some in another thread tomorrow when the sun is back up.
Warshed Skooby the chocolate clubster. Rain or snow for sure tomorrow. Remember it's Nathan's fault.
Yesterday - took care of a weeping oil pan gasket & crank sensor seal. Also, replaced the serpentine belt and belt tensioner. (FYI- Gates makes&sells a tensioner that is a lot cheaper than getting one through the dealer.) Today - finally installed the Ian Cull v7 circuit for the R53... kicking myself for having not done that mod the first week of ownership of the R53.
Took the same back road drive found last week with summer tires setup and Koni FSD. Awesome drive with the roof and windows wide open... a lot more fun than the Blizzacks for sure. 61 degree, cloudy and windy... Spring is here.
Was down at the shop today messing with my dual OCC setup.... Noticed a silver dot on my tire.... Soooo, what's the science behind nail / tire penetration? I can never understand how this happens.... This nail has entered perpendicular to the tire tread.... For this to happen.... It seems the nail would need to be standing on it's head with a slight lean towards the approaching tire.... That could very well be approaching at 75 MPH..... All the nails I've noticed always lay sideways on the ground.... It's a mystery.....
Justa be happy it is fixable. Patch plug from the inside should do it. With all the work happening justa around the corner from the shop a nail is not a surprise.
Ran to the books store in Rocketdog, it was RD's day for a wash, hydro and gas. Only took a few gallons, need to get the wife out driving more in the twisties over lunch. Have a great rest of your weekend. Don
NO EATTING in Bertie ... Take Food Out ONLY !!! :eek6: eMINIparts always the echo !!! Thx great MINI's think alike !!
Another day to do some work on RD getting ready for the Utah trip, after 7K miles (I know too long) had the Conti DWS rotated and rebalanced, feels like new again. The DWS are wearing very nice on the Countryman, 225/50, stick like glue and great in the wet. Since we had one of our little Spring snow events right after I cleaned up RD a few days ago, I did another wash and Hydro since I had time and sun. I'm sure my wife loves the clean MINI and I love good home cooked dinners. Fair trade I think! Don
My day with Moneypenny: 1)Drive to work - smiling all the way. 2)Arrive at work - parking as far as humanly possible from everyone else to protect Mini 3)Request off for May 3rd to join the Smoky Mountain Mini Club for MOTD. (I live on Calderwood Hwy, 129. At the base of the Dragons tail.) 4)Leave work in mini - smiling all the way. 5) Check for package containing new gobadges ordered last week - darn, nothing. 6) Look forward to tomorrow, and another day with Mini!
