Clayed, Polished and Paint Sealed it. Also Pre Wowed and Black Wowed all the plastic trim, I love how well this stuff works.
I cleaned all the winter carp off Skooby. Detailed the little French engine, warshed the car. Detailed the interior, fed the leather. Black Wow'd the trim. Tomorrow it's lay on a coat of Epic. Started at 10 & finished at 5:30. I'm bushed.....
Washington Highway 21 I drove about 20 miles up and down our riverside highway for some photographs, picking up a couple gallons of raw milk from a friend/farm, and some fresh roasted coffee from another friend (scottbroscoffee.com)
I got some AAA+ and installed an M7 Strut Tower Bar (after massaging my mushrooms back into flat planes.) Oh, and I ordered some stuff from WMW.
Dropped mine off at the local shop for it's pre-Dragon service. Got a ride back from a fellow Mid-Ohio Motoring friend.
I took Dark Helmet out for a spirited shake down before the Dragon and noticed that something was loose in the rear suspension that caused him to oversteer in the corners. Got him back home and found two lock nuts on the adjustable rear lower control arms that had backed off causing flex between the arm stud and the arm housing. Tighten the nuts and took a test drive....all is fine again. He's getting aligned today just to make sure the arms didn't move.
I went out & admired Skooby's cleanliness. Sweet.... Mark I'm glad you found that out here. Maybe some 242 loctite is in order.
It's amazing how much they affected the handling. I initially thought I was going to find an end link either broken or unattached....that's how severe the the feeling was!
That will change your camber, but what really makes the back walk about is the toe change that came with it. Who do you use for alignment? I found the North End Wrench does a very good job.
Replaced belt tensioner, belt, and PCV valve after work tonight. OMG that belt tensioner is a pain in the arse on an auto... The fraction of an inch less clearance you have on an auto realllly makes a difference when farting with the tensioner... Blimey no longer sounds like he's about to cough up a Fiat.
