Yesterday actually, I scored a first place nod at the British Extravaganza car show with my 70 Austin Cooper S MkII. Not so good luck though for my buddy's car on the track after breaking a steering arm.... Still FUN times though. Thanks VARA!
Passed 1250 so she is officially broken in. I have smiled more while driving in the last 4 weeks than the last 20 years. I can't imaging it getting even more fun but I'm really looking forward to it! -John
I'll bet you changed it before you left and after you got back. Did ya oil the break pads too? (You know I'm kidding) Jim
I've been soaking the brake pads in the used oil. When I want to go for a spirited drive I slip them right in. Jim you may be proud of me when I tell you we had 5,300 miles on that oil. That is a little longer than normal for me.
Last weekend new front splitter from Group 4. Wow what a difference a little lip makes. My only regret is I lost 8 MPG in the twisties but gained a few seconds with a lot less thinking.
Washed Scooter (R56) Washed Rocketdog (R60), played in the streets of Denver for the People's Fair video shoot with Scooter. What a hoot! Here is a clip, hope you can see it. A couple of nice and low R53s doing the short trip, the fast group. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10201230051302264 My video quality is not the best, a bit choppy. Don
I'm going ahead and posting now, for tomorrow. We're headed out for Vegas and AMVIV 10 at 0630. Knowing what lies ahead, I'd never be able to remember to post... :beer
:frown2: Dropped Margi(08 R56 BRG MCS/JCWm) off at the body shop to get her passenger side quarter panel ,door, and bonnet repaired from when the tractor trailer tried to run us over. The loaner is a brand new black Chrysler 200 convertable. Nice looking car, decently firm suspension, WAY under powered. Jason
Moved mine from the west side of the street to the east side. Street cleaning today, don't want a ticket and to be towed.
