Today was the Italian car show - Automezzi in Broomfield, Colorado. Well attended a bunch of pictures here: ALBUM MINI5280 had one of the 10x10s up and a few nice MINIs to show. Really liked some displayed miniature engines, hand crafted, running, great listening to the pure sounds. Right up MM's ally! Here is a picture of the set on display. I have a short video or two on FB, I will try to cross-post to the MINI5280 FB page, perhaps you can view them, if you want. Don
I painted my calipers red. So depending on Dave Os. ruling I either improved my braking (everything is better in red) or made it worst (everything is faster with red).
Attended a large British car show on Sun. and got a 1st place in the new MINI class (the caveat being there were only three cars in the class!!).
Got a new stereo head unit over the weekend, so now my music sounds better and I can talk/text handsfree making me a safer driver.
Parked under pine tree - hood felt like sandpaper with all that pitch. Wouldn't wash off so I Clay-barred it off and re-waxed with Griots random orbital buffer at high speed using Carnuba past wax. Perfect results - no spider web swirls left - just perfect clear reflective shine.
Went in and booked an appointment for a new clutch, Powerflex Bushings, power steering pump (under warranty) and a MINI Paceman as a courtesy car The appointment is for next Tuesday.
Threw on a broadway mirror and bought some new wax. Dodo juice hard candy & rainforest rub to be specific.
Finally got around to installing the factory rear fog light switch and panel. While I was there I replaced the dash trim/waterfall and dash knee panels since they were all scratched up. Now I have to get my boss to figure out NCSexpert so we can code the rear fogs. Also installed the both the large and small Powerflex engine mount bushings and lubed up the sunroof.
Took my six year old grand daughter to ballet class on the back road along the river. Made her car sick and she missed her class.
:cornut: Patrolled all western roads of Grayson County armed with Churchill caliber cigar and Starbucks. All infil/exfil secondary roads open and unguarded. Negative enemy encounters. Returning to objective rallying point.:eek6::lol::lol::lol: Jason
Took Rocketdog to the Wild Bird Unlimited bird store to stock up on bird seed. Good ride over and a nice stop at Chick-fil-A in honor of said birds. A little display was going on, loved this one! If you notice the expression on the lady's face, it is because the Owl gave me a big azz hiss and clenched his claws on the ladies protective glove as I leaned it to take this picture, OPPs.
