I'm sure Chuck and Mark the two of you have been out that way a time or two... Yup.... The red Ferrari is still for sale on the side of the road with weeds above the window sill.... Such a shame to do that to that car....
Jim and I had an interesting conversation at the Dragon about the first version of the manual trans they released in the Countryman, I was less than nice...but he understood.
I was going to snap a picture on the way back... But I was again driving a little bit enthusiastically (but not quite as much as before), and it came up on me too fast...
Nick that is the price you have to pay for black. Nothing prettier than a fresh clean black car. Nothing harder to achieve.
Busy weekend in the garage..... Replaced the OEM damper, not bad shape for 63,000 miles.... With this..... Replaced the tensioner as well.. Installed the new Pipercross JCW air filter... Modified the RS Rennline RS style door pulls to fit the HK surrounds... And color matched a set of door handle covers for Dr. Phibes...
Got my IE fixed camber plates in today! Now who to pick on to get these on my car and coax into putting all my other items on :ihih:
They are not that big a deal to install... Assuming you don't have a lot of rust on the strut / wheel nuckle.... I did them all by myself... And I'm an "old fart"... I mean... Silverback....
I'm avoiding the John Deere dealer this time haha. Probably coax my dad into it. I can tell you how to do things but I can't do them. Lol
MrJim, use a little Aquapel on those side windows and that water will bead up and blow off - dramatically increases safety.. Seriously, that's the first thing I do when I get a new car, and I've even done it to rental cars. RainX works in a pinch, since those windows don't get the wiper friction that causes RainX to haze. Heck, car wax can work for a while, but that Aquapel is wonderful stuff. Different chemistry than RainX and other silicone-based products. Lasts nearly forever on side windows, and a LONG time on windshields.
