Took a day trip to Monterey with the wife's car. Top down the whole way there and back, amazing what the OEM windscreen does , no wind at all. Never been in a car that gets so many looks, sad to say, it even gets more than mine :cryin:

Did some inventory this AM on some vintage Fiat and Alfa Romeo parts. :)

Then met up with the MINI5280 folks for a run with Scooter. We went to Estes via 34, then down to Lyons via 36, then over to Longmont on 66 with a grand finish at the Longmont Mall Saturday evening music and Food Trucks.

All in all a really nice Saturday:

Clay barred the entire car to remove some tree wax or pollen, and rewaxed with P21S - the new 100% carnuba. Best results I've seen. Also learned the clay barring doesn't seem to remove existing wax. It just takes off what is stuck to the surface. I have many coats of carnuba. Even so, I still put on a new coat - machine applied - after clay barring just to freshen up the surface. Results are smooth, reflective and slick as can be.

^^^^^ I wash with Dawn and then clay with Dawn adding it to warm water in a spray bottle and use it as clay lube. It works great and you can't argue with the results.

I also have the same P-21 S 100 % wax and its not bad. It is still a blended wax but at least the Carnauba they use is 100% real Carnauba.

Had new clutch, front bushings installed, and a power steering pump checked out and replaced under warranty. While MINI was in service, I had a Paceman (the oxymoron...a big MINI) to drive around.

Because I returned the Paceman with a bit more gas in it than what I started with, they gave me some swag.

Then I took my car out motoring to check out the new parts.

    Motor on!!

:cornut: Checked the oil and added 1/2qt. Sucked the Dinosaur Snot out of the OCC(cough/gag/spit:lol:). Topped off the DaveO meth-I mean wind shield washer fluid. Brake fluid and coolant okay. Cleaned the grunge off of the inside of the windows. Went to the self car wash. Degreased/ power soap spray/rinsed the engine and wheels and then went through the full car wash. A quick Italian Tune Up and back to the house.

Did you find the clunk? What was it, maybe a stale donut rolling around?

Clunk has been found. Sway bar bushings are shot. Ordered new ones from Amazon. Jegs was out of stock and also twice as expensive. Once in hand will schedule another appointment with Anson to replace.

Amazon.com: Prothane 12-1105-BL Black 19 mm Rear Sway Bar Bushing Kit: Automotive

Also had A/C recharged as was weak, so I've been told.

High Speed Fan running at odd times may have been fixed too. :fingerscrossed: The relay was opened and evidence of arcing was found. Relay replaced.
