Made a Mickey Dee's run this morning to pick up breakfast for my lovely bride. (Our house is a shambles - middle of a remodel job) It's about 12 miles of wooded twisties. First time using the sunroof. Great for a cool morning ride.

Got the state required smog test and passed with flying colors. The tech even knew how to start the car without asking. Said he always looks forward to a MINI coming through.

We re-bonded after a day in the shop... for both me and the MINI. It'll be a couple weeks before I can go for a spin as I patiently recover from rotator cuff surgery.

:cornut: Excellent advice. I've been the assistant surgeon on Rotator Cuff repair surgeries and the Pre and Postop Physical Therapy can make or break good post surgical results. Do the PT and Happy. Don't Do the PT and you'll curse the Surgeon forever as a butcher when in reality, it was the patient's fault.

Stared at it over morning coffee trying to recall where all the parts go so I can install the new turbo.

Hope to get my new 3" down pipe this week.

:cornut: Tell us some ghost stories when you get back. We used to camp close by when I was a Boy Scout in the early 60s, but I guess that ghosts are afraid of 30 14yo boys hootin and a hollarin.

Washed and spiffed RocketDog the wife's Countryman, she proceeded to tempt fate by driving to the feed store with the threat of a repeat of yesterday's thunderstorms.

She got lucky, no rain, but the CM is now all dusty, she will have to live with it. :(

I will spiff up the MCS on Monday before I leave town for a week. Going to miss driving Scooter in the Mountains. :frown2:

    Think MITM.

Just got back from a 500 mile trip to Lake Tahoe to watch Tough Mudder. It was for pleasure and a good test drive since my removal and reinstall of my rebuilt head on my 07 MCS.

She ran well, has lots of torque and didn't use a drop of oil. The oil is also still crystal clear, whereas before the rebuild, it would turn brown and coat my exhaust pipe with soot.

Also ordered my BSH Catch Can with Boost Tap, thanks Jason Montague, and I'm waiting for my new intercooler.

I just ordered my wheel hub/bearing from the wonderful folks at eminiparts. And now I'm crossing my fingers that I get it before the weekend. I'm ready to not hear that damnable noise all the time and enjoy my car even more.

On saturday it sat in the driveway and smugly watched me mow the grass and sweat my ass off. Then me and the Lady went for a little jaunt to the German Village for some delicious grub at The Mohawk and then a slow trip through the Short North to go to Evolved so the Lady could buy some new jewelry.
