Started it (well both of them actually) and thought how cool it would be to take a drive since it was only 102 outside.

Not today... Not tomorrow... Maybe in three or four weeks. :fingerscrossed:

:cornut: Just got back from a night drive in Margi. Sailed past a local policeman doing 78mph in a 65mph. After a nice friendly conversation and my sacred promise to observe the posted speed in the future, he let me go, not even a warning ticket. MINI on. Boy it sure is nice that almost all of the Texas Highway speeds are now(if outside of city limits) 75-85mph. MINI on Texas.

    Well Jas....

Good to hear no groundhogs were injured during your escapade....

Soooo.... I gotta ask.... What's with this.... Ummmm..... Jas???

Been hanging with the Hipsters over in Austin again?

These midnight incognito runs to Austin have just gotta stop....:fingerscrossed: Besides, these clandestine midnight forays are causing too much wear and tear on your MINI....:frown2:

Starbucks coffee tends to speed everything up a little faster.... Maybe switch to tea?

Yeah.... Ditch the Starbucks coffee, stop these crazy midnight runs to Austin, get rid of the hipster buds and become "The Jason" again....

Uhhhhhh...... Maybe try "Bubble Tea" if the hipster in you is still calling..... :D

:lol::lol::lol: Y'all are cracking me up! Thanks for thinking of me and trying to help my madness in your own small way. Austin...............well...........I promised Redbeard that I wouldn't say derogatory things about Austin any more(since he's stuck there with his new Mustang and his Lovely Wife). So thanks for helping me there also. Y'all forgot a few things though. It's MINI Margi, late night or early morning(Lady Margi works 7pm-7am in the ICU), Starbucks, music, cigars, and country roads. Night patrol in rural Texas.

Found a golf bag that fits in the trunk (with the back seats folded down). A very necessary accessory indeed.

Obviously y'all are not hipsters, they would have made everyone wait till food was all artfully displayed for submission to Serious Eats. Location would be listed with 4Square, imstagramed and tweeted.

Lunch would have been cold. :ihih:

Continued with the turbo and down pipe install.

Started on it Sat. with JMC40 but we didn't make much progress. 1 step forward 2 steps back kinda day.

Today I got the DP connected to the turbo and the exhaust. Had to do a little convincing to get the 3" DP to mate to the 2.5" JCW pipes. I won.

Made mods to the top heat shield for the o2 sensor as it is not in the same place as oem cat. Ugly but it will do.

Now I'm ready for a summer shandy then back to work on the intercooler and hoses. Then coolant and we should be ready to fire it up.

I detailed the MCS. While we were cleaning it my other half accidently took the black of the bonnet stripes. So Bella is now naked without her bonnet and boot stripes. Time to start shopping for new stripes. Thinking about something similar to the MINI Ray vinyl.
