If you are OCD about your car's maintenance like me and others you can cut the silly sensor of the end pull the shielding back put the two wires together and wire tie it out of the way. Reset the brake idiot lite "After" you replace your brakes and go on your way without buy a new silly sensor wire. You will also be able to buy pads the do not have the silly notch for the sensor. Now with the above being said I would only recommend this for people that maintain their cars themselves and do not want to have the silly brake pad alert lite coming on. If you are OCD about your maintenance you know when you need new pads by just looking. To me its like the oil change mileage count down monitor. Really 15 K? I change my oil every 3 - 4K because of the way my car has had the motor built and I run Meth. My oil gets dirty faster then most because of the meth but to me oil is cheap insurance for pistons, rings, bearings and motor rebuild labor.
Heard that the Body Shop pulled my car in the shop Friday and will get to work on it in earnest this coming week.
Took the MINI to the shop this morning.... Met some old buds... Met a new bud... We all went to Tommy's for breakfast... Do like their waffles and bacon... Stopped by Keen's on the way home... Saw another old bud in the process of becoming a new bud.... All is well in the universe...
(Yesterday) met up with a few MINI friends and took them to a private car show to gawk at some lovely classics and what turned out to be an over-abundance of Ford GTs.
Yeah Savvy that was a good time and a awesome Garage/house. I like the fact that everyone had to lay down some rubber in the driveway on the way out and our MINI's surprised a few.:aureola:

Mucho thanks Savvy for the invite (SAAC event) 2nd year in attendance Glad the hosts keep on letting Minis crash their Shelby-fest Good to see the Ainge master again! pac
I with I would have sat and just shifted 1st through 6th but did not want to put holes in the guys driveway. :aureola:
Poor Sally sat in the driveway where I parked her Friday evening after work until this morning when I left for work. The poor neglected thing! We had a nice drive to work though. I did discover, completly un-car related, that the charger for my 2010 Macbook Pro is dieing and I'm gonna need to get another one soon. Last time I was just out of warranty and they gave me a new one for free, they can be nice like that. But now it'll cost me $80 for a new one. Does this mean its time to retire the old one as a media center and buy a shiny new one?
Skipped out on work for a couple of hours and took MINI in for front brakes. Found the wire to the rear side marker light had rusted so had it replaced. Flushed the coolant (in preparation for the winter). I complained about the clutch chatter at idle when my foot was NOT on the clutch pedal and the mechanic agreed, it was rather noisy. They decided it was the flywheel, but it was not going to break anything so since the clutch is brand new, they said I should live with it awhile before ripping it apart for a new flywheel. But seriously, MINIs flywheel costs $1300 (?!!!!!!). Service manager says a dual mass flywheel from LUK is $$700. Or a conversion to a single mass flywheel clutch kit is about $300. I'll see if I can live with the current clutch for a year or more first, or at least until the 2 year warranty expires. BTW...MINI discounted the brake pads for me and only charged me $75CDN for the front set. I was considering EBC red stuff, but the stock pads were cheaper by quite a bit. Except for the dust, I am actually quite pleased with the stopping ability of the stock pads.
Went to Best Motor Werks. and had a diagnoses done on Henrietta. Diagnoses: Bad right side wheel speed sensor - need new sensor Bad front driver side wheel bearing - needs new hub assembly Rear light height adjustment dangling on aftermarket upper control arm - needs more zip ties. I was reading through Anson's diagnoses while driving and busted out laughing about the zip ties.
Stopped by the powder coater today... Had my ScanGauge mount toned down a little.... It was too sparkly when the sun hit it... Before.... Fixed now... While there, these were fresh baked and right out of the oven.... Lamborghini wheels.....
Drove the Austin Healey rally course one last time before the Healeys run it. Nice driving in the country even in a rain storm.
Replaced my Aero grill on my R53 with another one. I had a few broken tabs and it rattled from hitting a bird or something.
