What did you do with your MINI today?

Ran the preliminary Brewery Tour route. Had one detour that I've got to work around, other than that smooth sailing. I discovered some great new roads that actually reminded me of some roads down near Fontana. .....and a great stop for fresh and natural HONEY!!!!!!!! Fresh honey on a Hot Donut FTW.

 

I washed all the coastal bug dung off it. I'm sure it must feel better...

 

Drove to my friends house to brew some beer! :beer

And then a thorough cleaning later today.

 

drove to Kershaw County for a few laps at Carolina Motorsports Park

 

Opened the hood, pulled the dipstick stared at it, then reinserted it & closed the hood. Life is good & so is the oil.

 

Checked the tar pressures and added 2 lb. all the way around. Must be getting cooler? Sure don't feel it. :confused5:

 

Me.....

I walked to the fridge.... Opened the door.... Pulled out a brewski.... Twisted the top.... Chugged.... Closed the fridge door...:beer

Same thing... Different approach....

 

Stopped by the body shop, said hello to my MINI.

 

But your doesn't actually say hi like mine does!

There is no way to rush quality. I waited 12 weeks for my MINI to be finished. :wink:

 

I watched water bead up on the car. It fell from the sky, on and off, all day. Who ever heard of water falling from the sky? I mean, I've heard stories from my long deceased dad, but I didn't imagine it really can happen.

 

The ubiquitous R56 calipers(and corresponding 294mm rotors) have been installed on my R53:




Stoptech stainless lines were added at the same time.

 

Went to get my oil changed at the dealer. Made the 40 minute drive to have them tell me they were running 2 to 2 1/2 hours behind schedule. Couldn't wait due to previous plans for the afternoon. Had to reschedule for next weekend.

 

We picked up our new baby (Sprocket) today. Did the first exterior detail and will take care of the interior tomorrow.

 

Donuts with the Mid-Ohio gang then put in the helix short shifter. I am now a short shifting son of a gun!! :devil:

 

Went to donuts this morning with the MoM gang and met some guy driving an Altima which he claimed was the fastest car there

 

Well I didn't do anything on my Mini, but I did spend the whole day working in our race Mini. Only 9 months till Mid Ohio...

 

drove the roadster ( wife's) to work while the GP takes a break.

 

Yesterday I ran a few errands with the wife and bumped into some Philly Mini friends at Wegmans getting ready to go on a corn maze rally.

Today looks like a good day for a wash and wax since in looks like it will be nice all week.
