Hey get off the lawn..... Looking good Chuck! Doesn't look like a phone pic. Babs Skooby & I went to the AMA museum to see their art show. Then we took a long back road drive & ended up at Tom's Ice Cream Bowl. A very nice day.
Worshed and waxed the R53 today. Tested a new wax and all I can saw is Damn the Mistress is looking good. Bye bye Prima.:cryin:
Got the subframe back in with a bunch of new parts and took it for a drive through the country. The improvement was vast. Got back home, gave the MINI a bath, covered him up, and cleaned up the shop.
Had a great time at the annual VBAC "all British" car show here at home! Lots of great cars and folks in attendance, including four Classic Minis and four modern MINIs... I was honored to take first with my Classic and make a few new friends along the way. A great time had by all!
Left my marker lights on when I went to work. Came back after work and wondered why my doors wouldn't unlock. The battery was dead. Curious why the warning chimes didn't sound off when I left the car in the morning. Called the autoclub (BCAA - AAA in the US). They came, boosted my car and checked the charging system. I got home and hooked up the CTEK charger overnight. This morning, the car started up up. Will go out and see if the charge held in 2 hours (when I get off work). - this is the original battery that came with my car so it might be getting close to needing a new battery. However, I do charge my battery full with the CTEK charger at least once a year.
Sprayed the beast with damp grass clippings and fire ants... sort of a redneck's walnut shell treatment.
Nothing. It's on a ship steaming up the Chesapeake Bay towards Baltimore. I'm hoping for delivery by Saturday 10/5 or Monday 10/7.
We are all very proud of you! After my first 5 tickets (not in PA so no points) I got a Valentine 1 and now I am ticket free.
